Way to go Heidi !

Hi guys, just peeping in, good to see you are all still moving. I don't have any distance goals right now just my standard goal of moving 10K steps daily. @Janet: About the 10,000 hour rule and what makes somebody stand out, I suggest you read the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell

Weird. How does this work? :o :o Hit my target for April, I'm at 61 of 60K, I'l see how far I can go in April and then try to break it in May
-
LOL you did the right thing Dean. My patience is evaporating with time as well. What is a nerf ball? this sounds greek to me @Janet How did your half Marathon go?? Did a few more runs and I'm at 51/60 for April. It has taken me 7.5 hours overall. It never stops amazing me how some people are always at the track every…

Another 5K last Monday and I'm at 33 of 60K. These are exclusively from running/walking. @Janet I can see on GC that our paces are comparable, only you go longer distances. Plus you ride your bike which I haven't done since my accident, but one of these days I'm gonna go for it. @Dave this winter of yours is ridiculous.…

@Leanz Thank you so much. Did another couple of runs and I'm now at 28/60K. A mile takes me a slow 13:50 mins to complete, I'm working on 13 min miles
-
5k yesterday and another 4K today bring my total to 25K for April
-
21C and sunny in Athens :D The track will be closed till Tuesday because of the Easter holiday so I squeezed another 5K walk/run yesterday evening. I'm now 16 of 60K for April.
-
Did another 5K run/walk which brings me to 11/60 for April. I tried shooting some baskets afterwards and I could still hit 70% of my free throws, but rebounding and turning around to pass the ball back was making me a little dizzy
-
Thank you, it feels good to be welcome B) . Did a 6K run/walk last Monday and I'm 6 of 60K for April.
-
Hi guys, I'd like to join the April challenge for 60K. if you will have me that is
-
136.3 km (84.7 miles) of 200 km this month. 20 miles is running, the rest is walking. I also did 4 strength sessions with light weights. It doesn't yield any mileage but I'm happy I did them
-
10K walk on Sunday, 7K running errands yesterday, strength circuit this morning. 66 of 200 km so far.
-
Added a walk on Tuesday and 45 mins of hoops yesterday. Today I did a strength circuit. I know it doesn't involve mileage but I'm glad I did it anyway. 38.2 of 200 km done
-
Thank you for the welcome, I missed the challenge. 5K run/walk yesterday, 11K steps for the day. 22.6 /200 km
-
Happy New Year ! I'm back, I just couldn't stay away from you :-) I'll go for 200 activity tracker kilometers in January. 10.5/ 200 km

Thank you guys. The challenge really helps. Since I left here I took it easier than I should have and my distance totals went way down... Not to mention that I gained a few unwanted pounds back. :s
-
Good to see you Dave :) . It's not that I quit working out but I'd rather be with friends
-
Hi, I'd like to join again with 100 miles for May. Hopefully some of you still remember me :/ So far I'm 21.9/100
-
Hit my August goal early. Should hit 300K steps later today. I'm glad 10.2 of these miles are open water swims, along the beach below The rest are mostly hilly hikes here. The islands in the background are Mykonos and Delos
-
I can't forget the first time I watched the swim to bike transition of a tri race. The athletes looked so much more impressive and fit in real life than on YouTube, my jaw dropped. Regarding the Olympic venue, there isn't a day I don't make the same thoughts and I live like two miles away from one. I'm at 137/100 miles for…

I'm on holiday and all my mileage comes from hiking and open water swimming. MTD 54.2 of 100 miles

I'm tracking my workout miles with a Garmin HRM. For non-workout daily activity and stuff like strength training I use a Vivofit. I've been using a fitbit for the last couple of years (and it's still in my pocket), however there are some things I like better about the Vivofit: The mileage is more accurate, it's waterproof,…

1 Aug 5.1 miles. Walk/strength

Hey, I'm in for 100 miles. I've been crazy busy with some major changes at work but my holidays are coming up and I'll have more time available. I missed you guys :-)
-
I read somewhere that all things being equal, you should shave a minute off your 5K time for every 10 lbs you lose.
-
@bluuzplayer: Since you are already in the polar ecosystem I suggest you look at the Polar Loop activity monitor. I use a garmin hrm and a fitbit which is fine but eventually I'm getting a Vivofit for the integration on garmin connect. Affordable solution that does both is the Garmin FR15.

Barely made my target for May. According to the fitbit I took 350K steps and climbed 414 floors
