  • thanks to both of you - LizaArg & LeidaPrimal - you've made me feel a bit better :) Totally true. I'm kind of feeling nervous because I want to be perfect, but ultimately I don't believe perfetion is the point, not for me. It's more improvement that I care about. Even if I, for whatever reason, did every-other-day perfect…
  • Paleo/Primalers often say more fat is a-okay: http://paleodietlifestyle.com/question-of-macronutrient-ratios/ http://www.marksdailyapple.com/fats/#axzz27gvN2CNN http://www.marksdailyapple.com/high-fat-diet-healthy-safe/#axzz27gv9Y0Fx But more SAD'ers (standard American Diet...ers) say the opposite. It's true fat is more…
  • well... maybe this is silly of me but I'm kind of trying to clear out any temptation foods/non-Whole30 foods before I start. And by clear out, I mean consume >.< Aside from some frozen cookie dough and red potatoes I'm pretty sure eveything is a-okay, after yesterday. I'm also scouring recipes like it's my job so I can…
  • There are literally no vegetables (veggie burger doesn't count). Or fruits... & no dinner... substitute the veggie patty for real veggies ditch the fake American cheese have only 1 serving of that cereal and add some sliced fruit to it, or some on the side add DINNER: protein + vegetable for snacks, have some veggies +…
  • my birthday is 9/11 too!!!!
  • firstlyyyy I am a girl :) But I think southern accents are adorable! On men & ladies! I think that there IS a stereotype of southern accent = dumb = shoeless hill person but obviously if you are basing your opinion off an accent there leaves a LOT to be discovered... I have never heard a southern accent and automatically…
  • I'm Molly... but you can call me SQUISHY if you'd like :) I did a Whole30 in March (I think I only made it 15 days without a slip-up). I've been trying to be Paleo/Primalish since probably March? April? But recently I've been such a crabbypants and overwhelmed with LIFE that I've just been eating garbage. My boyfriend…
  • I would love to join! I've fallen off the paleo/primal bandwagon hard this past month (I'll spare you my excuses). I'll go search for the group :D
  • When it comes to drinking anyway, I find that as long as I have SOMETHING to sip on, I don't care that everyone else has a beer or whatever. For me that usually means I'm drinking some kind of sparkling water or maybe a diet pepsi if I'm feeling daring (...lol). Not that I never let myself drink but I do find it's often a…
  • I work basically as a receptionist... so I'm on my butt for probably half the workday. I do have to do a bit of running around, but 4 hours on my tush is still pretty lame. My gym is closer to my work than my home so I pretty much have to go immediately after work or it's likely I won't leave the house again... still…
  • I figured out I was lactose intolerant when I was about 19... I was having awful tummy trouble (I'll spare you the details) and since a coworker had recently made the same revelation, I decided to cut things out. I felt better pretty much instantly. I find it's okay to have small amounts, like cream for my coffee or a…
  • I've had a little dole grapefruit cup bouncing around in there for weeks... been meaning to eat it for breakfast at work but I seem to only remember it's in there after I've come home for the day
  • don't weigh yourself twice a day, you'll only be disappointed. & the literal weight of food youre digesting will move that scale too, it's not fat, or muscle, or even bloat... the food matter is still in you! don't stress, and don't weigh more than once a week. Preferably in the morning, naked (or at least in the same…
  • I'm 5'4 3/4" and I'm a size 6-8 right now, at 145... I was about 155-160 as a 10
  • thanks for the link, row!! I love that site but it's ridiculously hard to find what I'm looking for... haha
  • Uuuugggghhhhh that is absolutely awful of them. I say good for you, of course, as would any DECENT people. It's hard to ignore that stuff and I am certainly not one who can just forget that kind of thing... all I can say is PEOPLE SUCK :( Just keep going!!!! <3
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! That is the most wonderful gift to yourself :) Congrats & enjoy your day
  • happy birthday!!!!!!!!! Mine was yesterday
  • My little brother takes Concerta. It's helped him a TON- he used to be in special ed. for his reading/writing, and 1 year on Concerta and he's out and in his first year at college! he never used to have any friends (literally) because they found him annoying, now he has a bunch and he is drastically happier. he's actually…
  • I don't think any vegetable or fruit is "bad" They probably meant that carrots have a higher sugar content than a lot of vegetables...???
  • that's very weird... I've gotten hives (urticaria is a fancy word for hives) from overheating, maybe it has something to do with that? Maybe on leg days you just raise your body temp more than other days since legs have so much muscle mass... just a guess... the throat closing is very concerning though! Do you perhaps have…
  • WHOOOOOOOOP! Congrats :)
  • haha :) Eat what you want and let others do the same. You can be vegan/veg/whatevs and still get good protein. My only dietary advice is to stay away from foods that make you bloat or gassy, since that will affect your tummy region- very well might be tofu, who knows, just pay attention to your own body's unique needs!
  • Your waist might be wide, but is it... like... squishy?? Or are you full of abs and just large organs.... ?! Which sounds weird, but what I mean is someone could be all fluff at 33 inches while someone could be firm at 33 inches... if you're pudgey it's reasonable to be concerned, but if it's just the shape your body takes…
  • bummmpppp ? :)
  • The guilt is probably worse than the physical effects. I'm sorr youre going through a rough patch! <3 Could think of it as a brief hypercaloric reset... good for the metabolism in that way, though gains may be expected if cals were really high. But you can only move forward, right??? Keep your chin up and try not to dwell…
  • I bought my boyfriend the BEST IPA EVER (I don't care for them but he insists it's awesome): Union Jack IPA! http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2210/38180
  • I'm glad you've got such a good perspective on a horrible thing. <3 to you.
  • more spices! on everything! my faves: cumin, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, variety of chil powders (cayenne, ancho, etc), basil (fresh is SO GOOD), rosemary, sage... ...and of course hot sauces and salt but I am trying to learn moderation on that front!!!
