Personally, I think artificial sweeteners are pure EVIL. I have a bad sensitivity to them, so I just avoid them all together. Shop the sales and clip your coupons. Stock up on staple items like canned beans, brown rice, whole wheat pasta. Try to avoid those smaller packaged meats, and buy bigger. You get more bang for your buck that way. Just freeze single servings in bags and use as needed.

I'm all about moderation. Maybe limit your pop to one can, twice a week. So say, on Friday night have a coke. And once over the weekend. But not every day.

It used to show on BBC America, but I believe they pulled it. They found out she wasn't really trained and had sort of been giving bad advice I think. I loved that show actually! She had good common sense suggestions, but was plugging herself as a nutritionist, but never actually went to college for that.
