Hi Everyone! I love the idea of losing 50 pounds in a year - slow and steady wins the race. I am looking forward to sharing experiences with everyone! My end goal now is to lose about 65 pounds, so I'm hoping that this group and some shared accountability will help keep me focused. Happy new Year!

I'd love to participate! Yesterday I walked for 45 minutes at lunch. Hope to do 30 today.

Abe Lincoln got shot in the back of the head at the theater. Life is short and unpredictable - eat what you like. In moderation.

You look amazing! Don't quit. It's a huge difference. People get weird around weight loss. They're afraid to say anything, in case you're sick or something. Or it sounds inappropriate or awkward at work to comment on someone's appearances (HR issues and all). Don't sweat it. Trust me, there's no way people don't notice!…

I can only assume you mean the packaged crisp bread sticks - similar to the Stella D'oro breadsticks? For me, it's about satisfaction. If I want to have a cup of tea with a biscuit, I may choose 3 of those breadsticks instead of 1 Jaffa Cake, because I get to eat more with my tea. But when I really want to have a Jaffa…

I find it helpful to space mine out throughout the day. I'm not an athlete and not looking for "optimal performance" when it comes to working out. I just find that spacing my calories out through the day helps me feel more satisfied, since I like to snack. I always try to leave some room in the evening after work, because…

Beef with Broccoli Chicken with Broccoli Shrimp with Broccoli (see my theme here!? HA!) Kung Pao Chicken Pot stickers - ask for steamed or pan fried, not fully fried Stick with dishes that aren't fried. Get lots of veggies, and keep portion sizes in mind rice, etc. I love these portion reminders when I'm out for dinner:…

Beautiful woman! Congratulations, your hard work has really paid off. You're looking fabulous!

I agree with the above, but also have a question - How is your water intake? Are you increasing your water to compensate for so much extra activity? Dehydration can cause you to feel extremely run down and tired. Also, changing seasons and shorter days start to take an effect too. I hope it gets better!

No way is that mini! You've lost a toddler! Have you ever looked at 30 pounds of potatoes or dog food or anything else? It's a great loss. And you look amazing. Congratulations! Keep up the great work girl.

Maybe you should call your doctor, just to be sure! Swelling doesn't sound good to me. Are you stretching and cooling down adequately? Are you drinking enough water to stay hydrated?

American "news" is a joke. We get 5 minutes of real news, and then nothing buy hyped up stories and celebrity gossip. We spend 45 minutes talking about the VMAs and 30 seconds on Syria? Crazy.

You look wonderful! Ignore those moody cows. People get funny when it comes to weight loss. They're used to you looking a certain way, and feel all threatened when you do something to improve your health and well-being. Don't worry about them, just block those FB posts, and keep doing what you're doing. This is about YOU,…

Great job! Congratulations to you! Keep up the great work. Eventually, you'll feel comfortable with the balance and be able to just enjoy it once in a while. Cooking at home is healthier, and much more affordable in the long run. Plus, you're setting a great example for those kids! You should feel very proud!!

She lost it everywhere!

I think he was just trying to help. He'd do the same for a man who was struggling I'm sure. You are at the gym to get fit. Don't worry what people are thinking or if they are looking at you! Focus on yourself. Why don't you ask a gym staff person/trainer to help you learn how to use the equipment correctly? Most gyms have…

Happy birthday to you! That's a wonderful gift to yourself. Guilt-free eating and enjoying. It's all about balance! Go and have a wonderful day! Celebrate you! Congratulations

Maybe you're pregnant!

You are awesome! I quit (completely...after years of on and off) 3 years ago and never looked back. It's such a relief! Stick with it, be strong! You are worth it! Rock star...

Have you set up your weight loss profile? If so - just follow the plan. Eat the calories recommended, get some more exercise, drink plenty of water and you'll get there.

Also - Sodium makes you retain water. I looked at your diary and you had a couple of very high sodium days. I'm always up a pound or two after a restaurant meal (especially PF Chang's or Olive Garden - Yikes!). Focus on the fact that your clothes fit better and you are feeling good. Drink more water, less sodium. Also,…

You've lost over 300 pounds!! You're my hero! Awesome job. And totally agree with this post. Fruits are fine! Natures' candy. HA.

Beans, rice, canned tomatoes, frozen veggies, ground turkey/lean beef, boneless/skinless chicken thighs and breasts, fresh or frozen veggies. Make pots of chili, soups, stews, meals to go. Purchase containers so you can do a big bulk cook and freeze them in single portions. It will last a long time that way.

Um, Coffee has caffeine, caffeine is a diuretic, therefore, coffee IS a diuretic.

Do you eat eggs? You can make a great variety of egg muffins ahead of time and even freeze them. The protein will help keep you feeling full longer. If you still want the bread, put them in between an english muffin or something similar. :) I love these and you can get creative with what you put into them.…

So exciting! Congratulations to you! You're very inspiring! I am chasing that goal myself. WOO HOO! Can't wait to cross over (and stay over).

I say - do it. While you're at it, eat a tape worm. JEESH! Bad ideas all around.
