Seeking advise about Roxy Lean

I've been reading a piece in the new Men's Health about a product @ GNC called Roxy Lean. It says it is supposed to promote fat loss and increase energey levels. Have any of you taken it or heard from anyone who has?

In a moment of weakness I forgot that these products have never worked before and neither did Roxy Lean. Maybe my appetite was suppressed a bit, but I wasn't trying to starve myself anyways. I eat clean to fuel activity and this did not give me any help.

Ha! The active ingredient if Coffee! What a surprise.
    Yet another scam.
"Quick Easy Weight Loss" is a trillion dollar industry.
It didn't cost me a dime to lose 100#. In fact, overall I save a lot of money. Not wasting it on junk food and takeout.
There will always be another "New And Improved" weight loss scam.
    But MFP is free.
The only thing I paid for was personal trainer time. But that is for fitness gain not weight loss.

Roxy Lean is good for a boost. I liked it better than any other BPi products. I'd highly suggest buying it off Amazon or another website before buying it from GNC. Unlike coffee, Roxy Lean is a diuretic. Diuretics promote urination, which helps decrease water weight, but also can help flush out toxins.

You simply cannot compare any coffee to any fat burner.

What toxins do they flush out?

Also...these companies pay people to leave good reviews, so.....I wouldn't invest much in reviews. OP you're better off getting reviews from here, from people who don't work for the company.

Um, Coffee has caffeine, caffeine is a diuretic, therefore, coffee IS a diuretic.

    This review is funny:
So I found this supplement on a few different sites and decided to give it a try after reading mixed reviews. I was always a fit guy at a good weight of 165lbs until I reached my 30's and I was living out of hotels, eating fast food and drinking Starbucks coffee which exploded me to 190lbs. I've worked out and I use to teach martial arts but I have to admit I got extremely lazy over the past few years ever since I got hitched and had kids to deal with. Anyways, I'm no stranger to stimulants especially illegal ones. I've also tried numerous diet pills in the past including my wife's raved about old formula Oxy Pro Elites. Recently, I decided to try and lose the extra pounds and shred up so I've been trying out different supplements including Roxy lean. Now let me tell you this stuff is absolute GARBAGE! Anyone that is raving about this product is either a company rep or they've never taken good stimulant drugs. All this crap did was literally make me crap my brains out! My butt hole was so sore after completing a bottle of this I will tell you: I'll never take another one ever again! I'm talking about 30min after eating the pill each and every time I was on the toilet! Then another four more bathroom trips throughout the day. I am by no means a newbie to supplements. My first supplements were started when I was 13yrs old and that was pro hormones and weight gainer! Currently, I take a mens multi vitamin every day that has niacin in it so it wasn't the niacin that was effecting me either. I also drink on average 3-5 shots of espresso per day which I obviously don't do if I'm taking a supplement that's loaded with caffeine like this. So it wasn't the caffeine that drilled my rectum out. This supplement is just plain old garbage and it doesn't give you energy or make you want to do anything other than poop! I thought that maybe it was just me so I let my wife try the supplement and she has been using Oxy Pro Elite for 3yrs now and she got even sicker than me! She was stuck in the bathroom most of her day that she tried this and she actually said she felt like she was going to throw up! She said her legs and hands went numb kind of like when she tried Morning Glory seeds back in the day. Personally, I think this product needs removed from the market and it may actually be dangerous to some that aren't use to drugs or stimulants. I would honestly say that the Lipo 6s, Oxy Elites, and Fat Smackers are way better. So far my personal favorite and I'm still experimenting is Fat Smackers by Purus Labs. Now those things really got me jolted and did not make me sick. Once again I got nothing but poop and more poop from these terrible horse-sized pills. They did not give me energy and they definitely did not make me feel in a better mood. My advice is STAY CLEAR OF THESE WANNABES!!

Our urinary system is designed to flush out toxins and bacteria from the body. Anything that you consider a toxin to your body goes out from the front side or the back side, right? So, if you pee more, would you not flush out more toxins?

Right but what are the toxins? What are their names?

I was going for the dramatic. Yes, coffee can be considered a diuretic because it has caffeine, however, you don't go to the grocery store to buy Folgers Diuretics.

One of the main ones is ammonia.
Here are a couple search results from simply typing "What toxins does urine flush out?"

    http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine
    http://womenshealth.answers.com/reproductive-health/flushing-out-bodily-wastes-through-urine

I can't believe adults are questioning what our urinary system does.

No, no...I understand the urinary system. I'm just trying to figure out what "toxins" this pill flushes out that our bodies don't flush out on their own. The link you posted says the kidneys take care of that, so why spend a bunch of money on pills to do what our bodies already do?

I never said it flushes different toxins. I said if you're pissing more, you will flush out more. If it rains harder, there will be more rain on the ground. If you drink more coffee, you will consume more caffeine, etc. etc. etc.

If it makes you pee more but not take in more doesn't it dehydrate you? Wouldn't drinking lots of water make you pee more and thus also 'flush out more toxins'?

Nope. Don't know anything about it, and don't want to know anything about it.

Can you point me to any peer reviewed, double blind studies on the efficacy and safety of "fat burners"?

Sounds rather unnecessary considering my renal system has yet to let me down, so I think I'll save my money for more useful stuff like... coffee and fruit snacks. But hey if people enjoy the arbitrarily increased throughput of urine through their system, I say "enjoy."

I have used Roxy Lean. In fact, I still have some left in the bottle. It is ok for an occasional use. I have used it on occasions when I am unable to eat for a long period of time. It does curb my appetite for about 4-6 hours, but the crash is horrendous. I only use them in emergency type of situations.
