Anyone got any tips?0

Not really sure what you're looking for?0

Have you set up your weight loss profile? If so - just follow the plan. Eat the calories recommended, get some more exercise, drink plenty of water and you'll get there.0

Eat the appropriate amount of calories and you will lose weight.0

Quit eating bandannas. They are loaded with calories-- not the good kind either.0

Uh, excuse me. I eat a bandanna every day. Hasn't hindered my weight loss at all.0 -
What is the question?0

They are, however, loaded with fiber....0 -
giving up smoking isn't giving you a belly, sorry.
good job on quitting though.0 -
I would like to get my flat belly back. Quitting smoking u tend to eat more. I'm well under on my calories about506 left could I have kept this belly because I'm not eating enough?0

OP, you mention that you eat soup often. Have you checked the sodium on the label? When I eat foods high in sodium my stomach bloats like crazy. And, bandannas can cause gas.
Yes, it could be that you're not eating enough.0 -
Hi Ross,
It looks to me like you are eating too much sugar - bananas, yogurt, fruit, energy bars are all loaded with it. That could be contributing to your "belly". Congratulations on quitting smoking. I did 20 years ago and promptly gained 30 pounds. I applaud you for noticing the slight weight gain early on and taking steps to remedy it.
I agree with others who say log your food here and follow the program. It's working for me, and for many others!0 -
My soup is homemade carrott soup with fresh carrots water a couple stock cubes and some mixed herbs thats all. What would you replace some of the suagr things for?0

Stop drinking coffee in the afternoon. It may be disrupting your sleep patterns, and lack of sleep has been linked to weight gain.
Follow the plan that MFP has set up for you. Don't do anything too aggressive, just 1/2-1 pound a week weight loss. Try to have some fresh vegetables with every meal, and cut back on the processed carbs (bread, pasta, cereal, anything that is sweetened).
Get some exercise everyday. Even if it is just a short walk. Take a walk after your tea to give you an afternoon energy boost instead of coffee.
Congrats on quitting smoking. I smoked from the age of 15-39. It took a long time to feel completely free of cigarettes, but I'm totally free now. I can easily spend time in smoking sections and not even think about my old smoking habit. It's like I never even started. It takes a while to get here, though. I had to avoid smokey places for the first year after I quit, otherwise I would drive myself crazy with cravings.0 -

Everyones point about the surgar is important - although Id be less concerned about the friut and more about the sugar in the cereal bars and your coffee.
2 bananas a day might be a bit much, try trading the afternoon banana for some veggies and a little cheese or a hard boiled egg.
My other observation is that I dont see a whole heck of alot of protien. Try getting a bit more of that into your lunch as well as dinner and choose a high protien yoghurt if that is your choice for breakfast.
Otherwise, follow your caloric intake and record your foods. (including the milk and sugar in your coffee! it will add up ) If you do that you will be good to go!

Off the bat, it doesn't seem like you are eating enough and what that forces to body to do is hold onto the food it is getting and stores it as fat, which could account for the weight gain in your tummy
Also, I have never heard someone say banana isn't good, except for the young lady above, it is however high in sugar and calories, so minimize to only one per day. I eat one after my crossfit workout every morning.
Also, you have a lot of sugar in yogurt, cereal bar etc etc. When trying to lose weight, it is best to minimize your sugar intake.
Instead of yogurt and cereal bar for breakfast, have eggs and probably the yogurt still or veggies
Good luck and congrats on quitting smoking0
