I drink a few beers most days a week, sometimes more sometimes less. And I lift, and I eat at a big deficit, with refeeds once a week. I can't say that I have noticed my muscles wasting away. You're going to get a lot of snarky answers. :D If you're eating less than you need in a day, you will lose weight. What's your TDEE? But yes, at 1200 calories your going to lose weight. Even if you do nothing. Than is unless your a todler.

it takes calories to make milk, and if the baby is only getting it's calories from your milk, then you need more calories than you did when your were pregnant, since the baby is much bigger and still growing.

I still eat healthy when I'm sick, but I also don't limit my calories. If I'm really not feeling up to it I skip the cardio and maybe weight lifting too. I used to carry around a gallon jug everywhere I went. I'd fill it each morning and if it wasn't empty by the end of the day I'd drink it all. Also I make sure to drink a couple of quarts first thing in the morning. It's amazing how much better it'll make you feel.
