I lost 2.2 lbs. with thorough tracking so I'm so happy for my first week May challenge. I finally got my pension check and am getting more than I expected. Now I can start planning some much needed travel.

Unfortunately, I'm the opposite of you with more of a savory addiction (think salty crunchy goodness). Maybe you can have a fruit when you get a sugar craving and if that doesn't help, then have something small to curb the craving. Just my 2 cents.

UPDATE: Loss of 2.2 lbs. Can't subtract right.

@Pupowl - Thank you. I'll try keep that in mind and I know weight loss takes time, so I'll have to patient with myself.

Today is weigh-in day for me and I'm so terrified and hesitant to get on the scale for fear of no loss. I just had HITT workout. Is it better to weigh myself before or after workout? Thoughts?

Thanks at @Pupowl. Let me introduce Nyx (tabby) and Luna (white). My 3 year old babies.

@PatriceFitnessPal - You are amazing and you've inspired me to work hard.

Hi all. Here are my 2 Covid Cats. I adore these two. Weigh-in for me is on Tuesday so stay tuned. The weekend was good with tracking my macros except for the DC United game where I splurged on 2 beers and share some nachos and guestimated my calories. I did have 3 hours of walking (museums) then biking to the stadium, so I…

Hi all. I'm looking forward to starting the May challenge as a first timer. The last time I lost substantial weight was 13 years ago after IF issues. A little about me: I'm a 53 yo happily married DC gal of 19+ years living with her hubby (no kids, 2 covid adopted rescue cats) in the greatest and fittest city in the world.…

@ganival - Oh thank you and am looking forward to it. It's a short trip which means if we love it (I'm sure we will), that we will be back. It will be our first time in Calgary or that part of Canada.

Hello everyone and @Pupowl love the daily card. I want to conjure up a healthy lifestyle and weight loss and possible moving to Portugal in a few years. Can it happen? Not sure yet. I'm holding myself accountable by posting daily. It's a rainy blustery day here in DC. Hubby and I were being very lazy today and ended up…

Hi @PatriceFitnessPal - Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad there's someone near me.

Hi all. I was told to introduce myself here. A little about me: I'm a Washington, DC resident (hence my nickname DCRESIDER) and a recent early retiree at 53 as of January of this year. While I've been enjoying my downtime, it seems menopause and the sedentary lifestyle has affected my weight so it's time to reboot. I've…

I'm going through perimenopause right now and my weight has been steadily been going up that past 2 years, even with exercise. The key is to track everything you eat, or make sure you are getting enough calories with all the working out you do.

@PastorVincent - The only reason why I run that far is because I'm training for a race. Otherwise, are you crazy to run that far for the fun of it?
-
Half marathons are tough enough and that's the furthest I've ever rain. I can't even fathom doing a full marathon because my time is to precious to train for it. :) Good luck to those who can though. (I once said I'd never run a half so you never know ;)
-
Can I join? I have a half marathon scheduled at the end of the month. Hip joints have been achy lately: 3/1: 10.28 mile run 3/2: 6.00 mile bike ride 3/3: 5.21 mile hilly run
