macros 5% carb, 20% protein, 75% fat. Keep to a deficit. You're gonna be REALLY tired the first couple of days, cracking headache, but they don't last. Energy levels pick up after a few days, as if you were hit by a giant dispenser of speed.

I say go for it personally. but there really is no need for the 1200 cals mark, try 1800 to start with and see where you go from there. dropping too fast (NOT being a doctor here) MAY cause some damage to internal organs, mess up your metabolic rate, resulting in NO FAT LOSS at all, and instead the opposite. what i do, especially if i splurge, is increase my deficit by 100 cals more until I'be broken even, then carry on. don't worry about it.

Exactly this! It'll take time, but slowly incorporate small substitutions, such as swapping full fat for diet, then to sugar free, and then eliminate it completely (except for cheat days ofc if you plan to incorporate them).
