  • 16 weeks ago I had a circumfrential body lift along with lipo after a 90lb weight loss. 3 words....BEST. DECISION. EVER. Recovery was not a cake walk, but not unmanagable, and I do still have pretty profound numbness across my abdomen. I rented a hospital bed, shower chair and walker (that was unnecessary) for 4 weeks, pre…
  • I agree. I'm also 6ft tall and am most comfortable at 175-180lbs.
  • I feel all your pain. At 6' and a mixed frame I have to drop 30+ pounds to change pants size. I'd lost 70lbs and and went from a 20 to a 16! I've got 50-60 more to go...will probably wind up a size 12--14.
  • No it's not cheap, but I'm fortunate that my bff moved to one of the busiest plastic surgery states-Florida- in the country. It's a difference of about 40% between there and here. Plus she will take care of me afterwards.
  • Between March of 2014- 2015 I lost 70 lbs. Between 2015-2016 I regained 35lbs. From February 2016 until now I've relost 25 of that gain. Overall I want to lose another 40lbs before having surgery. 50lbs would be fantastic! Lol!!! Because the pregnancy weight gain and subsequent loss was so drastic surgery is my only…
  • At this age and with that amount of weight loss surgery is the only solution. He will also tighten the abdominal muscles during the surgery. The reason for the inverted T , also known as a Fleur de lis, is to address the upper abdominal pouch. This will allow him to tighten my waist area.
  • When I pinch, my fingers don't touch. There is still a layer of fat beneath the skin. I wouldn't consider having the surgery until I lose an additional 40 lbs, which I hope to accomplish by October. If I did get it now then lose more weight, I'd be back in the same boat! My children are mostly grown, the youngest will be…
  • 4 babies and 70 lbs lost. I gained back about half last year but am within 10 lbs of my original loss. I have 40 more to goal. I have started investigating having a tummy tuck. I've recently had a virtual consultation with a plastic surgeon. He recommended an Inverted T tuck with lipo on my flanks. I could exercise until…
  • 54 yrs old ( hope that's close enough
  • That's the weird thing. Stress makes me lose my appetite. I guess I'm a happy eater. And judging by the weight I put on over the years I'm pretty ectastic most of the time! Lol!

  • All excellent suggestions! Thanks so much. So far I've been holding out from gorging myself, but I've got another week on this stuff and I'm miserable with the constant hunger. I wake up ravenous and pretty much stay that way until I go back to bed. Even after a satisfying meal I'll be full for 20 minutes and then my…

  • That's such a coincidence. I'm making chicken breast tacos tonight. It's yummy because I simmer the breast in homemade chipotle pepper ranchero sauce and shred. Bake the corn tortillas til crispy, top with 2 tblsp refried beans, the chicken/sauce mixture, 2 tblsps lite sour cream, avocado slices, cilantro and lime juice.…

  • You guys are truly inspirational. This is a walk.....one foot in front of the other. I can always count on members of MFP to make me feel that I can do this too. Thanks guys, you're all amazing!
  • Mango chutney on grilled pork chops Honey peanut butter and sliced bananas in oatmeal Home made ranchero/chipolte sauce on anything, but especially shrimp tacos Indian soup with lentils and coconut milk I'll stop now because it's beginning to sound like I'm obsessed in general! LOL
  • I love the fact that as you get smaller your smile gets bigger! Great going!!
  • Just got a really cool one at Walmart for $29. It has day/date/time/calendar, heart rate, cals burned, exercise timer, personal profile and chronograph. Very easy to program too (thank goodness cause I'm tech challenged). They also had pretty expensive ones as well, but they all pretty much tracked the same stats.
  • My doc says to take 200-400mg of Ibuprofen 20 minutes before a work out for the first week or so to help prevent soreness.
  • You look fantastic! Thank you for writing this encouraging post, it really helps to know I'm not the only one swearing at Jillian Michaels!
  • I eat some things occasionally (once every week or two) that I have a craving for. This past weekend I REALLY wanted a grilled cheeseburger, so I had it. I went over my allotment by 300 cals but loved every bite! The bottom line is this, ask yourself if you'll NEVER have a bowl of ice cream, a candy bar or whatever again.…
