maybe a smoothie is not a bad idea.... i think the problem is it's baby-sick consistency and too sour taste. reminds me of when my babies were small... but not in a good way! :C

i was actually born in hitchin and lived in letchworth till i was 6. small world after all! :D
-
hehe i thought it might be a bit of a long-shot! hahaha! :D

i use 2 litre washed out milk cartons, filled with water. but you have to glue the lids on to prevent leakage. guess that doesn't really help you? :D
-
thank you for all your posts! i didn't expect to get any more! :D lots of points to think about, good and bad - i think i'm going to focus on finding healthy friends with more similar goals to me. that is a good starting point. your comments about me being a potential man-stealer really made me laugh though! :D i can…

thank you for your posts, peeps - it may possibly be that because i'm dressing to show my figure, but still in a demure way, instead of always hiding it like before, that that is the problem? maybe i should dress down for occasions like the school run, with my old baggy clothes? i'm trying to rise above it but in truth…

hehe, wouldn't you like to know :D big fat juicy ones. none of them true though.....

thank you for your honesty. i will try to be mindful of this - however i'm not convinced it's 100% of the problem. i honestly don't look down on anybody, since all of the years i have been looked down on myself. i really DO NOT think i am 'better' than anybody and am polite, curteous (sp?) and friendly to people i don't…

hahah! not the ones i've got they are actual fish-sized! :D
-
yeah - this is the kind of thing i meant.... thanks for posting :D

cool. i've only ever taken one or two at a time before so i didn't know if taking more might be counter productive in anyway at all. i will add them to my breakfast menu then! thanks for answering!

RIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!! FTW! i love it - all types. i mostly eat brown rice now but nothing beats sticky white rice with vinegar and salt on. oooooh nom, i'm hungry now! can't believe there are actual people out there who actively hate rice?! are they mental? lols.

thanks peeps - lots of ideas! seems like almonds are the one! :D am off to plan snack NOW!
-
i loved reading this! :D
-
hahaha! man! you are all making me starving hungry!! :D
-
awesome - keep 'em coming. i need to snack so that i don't raid the fridge while dinner is cooking! hahah - the cherry tomatoes or grapes usually are the victims, but i need to stop this and plan a proper snack that keeps me going all the way through :D not really a fan of cottage cheese though - any ideas to jazz it up a…

i had to repeatedly show my husband that under no uncertain terms was he to be in control of the food i ate or exercise i did or didn't do. that meant i had to control everything myself even if he did turn his nose up at it - that was his tough poop. he works hard at a physical job all day long, has always been fit without…

yes! i kicked artificial sweetner/sugar addiction about a year ago, but they do put that cr*p in EVERYTHING! i only use honey or unrefined cane sugar for sweetening at home. i don't eat anything 'low fat' or 'sugar free' because i know that stuff is riddled with nasty stuff. i tend to make all my meals from scratch and add…

peanut butter or chickpeas. nom.

my mum always said there's a lid for every pot and a cup for every saucer - it might not fit or match perfectly or look right, but there it is. but she also said to go for the ugly ones because then they'd be grateful! my husband (who incidentally is not ugly in the slightest!) and i have been together 10 years this year…

bump? i'd really like some motivation please! xx

I'm pretty active during the day - walking the school run twice a day with 2 kids on a pushchair, clean the house top to bottom every day, prep and cook 3 meals a day, play with the kids all afternoon. it's that extra burn on top - that cardio hit that I need to need iykwim.
-
holy cow! they're amazing! :D need these in my life....
-
not sure where in the world you are, but in the UK we have a thing called Ryvita - it's kind of like a crackerbread type thing. only 30-odd calories a slice. that's what i have anyway!
-
haha! yeah - i used to be really fat! LMAO. what i consider now to be comfort eating was the way i would eat as a matter of course. i worked through alot of issues, plus had 2 kids worth of babyweight to shift. so i got tough and kicked my *kitten* into shape :D
-
i am so IN. gained 4lbs this week from comfort bingeing. this needs to change. EDIT: my biggest downfall is anything that is edible. seriously i will eat anything. like a goat. i mean i eat like a goat not that i would eat a goat. *ponders if goat tastes good....*

we don't have 'bad' foods in the house - the kids have things like mini yogurts, mini cheese, and mini biscuits and fruit for snacking - but those are the kid's food and completely off limits. they aren't unhealthy but i just plain don't eat them because they belong to the kids and not me. Hubby knows to eat chocolate and…

thanks for all your awesome posts guys. lots to think about and try. thanks again! :D

i know. i have SUCH a sweet tooth - been trying to curb the sugar but that is the thing i really struggle with TBH. i try to get a lot of protein in from beans and peanuts and grains and such - i do eat alot of fruit and vegetables on most days and i tend to cheat with inputting by putting in a 'ready meal' option when i…
