It's easy to get into hibernation mode here in the winter. On the other hand getting outside on the days when the windchill isn't bad can really feel good. I try to take my dog for at least 30 minutes every day. Now today I won't, the windchill is 20 below! But probably later in the week. I agree there are lots of online…

YouTube has so many free workouts. Two of my favorite channels are Livestrong and Fitnessblender. I'm also in MN so I hear you but my dog makes me get out and walk on all but the coldest wind chill days. I also use DailyBurn but it's a monthly fee of 14.99 , but they have a 30 day free trial. Add me if you want.

Hello, I am just starting for the first time today. I am doing at home with dumbbells so some modifications. I just did stage 1 A and the squats (dumbbells up by shoulders) were really hard with weight. I only used two 15 lb dumbbells. Everything else not too tough. I have to use the steps in my house for step ups and I am…

I started out with it in April and really liked it. I since have found a lot of free stuff to do online but I still enjoy Daily Burn sometimes. I really benefited from the beginner workouts because it was just the right intensity for someone like myself who hadn't worked out for a long time.

You look great! And all that in just nine months! Very inspiring.

Me! I need all the motivation I can get. I have been at this since April and I am halfway to my goal.

A real noticeable difference in your stomach and upper arms. Great progress!

Bake or microwave, remove from skin. Open a can of refried black beans. Place a few spoons of beans and a few spoonfuls of the cooked sweet potato in a flour tortilla. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Microwave until the cheese melts and enjoy.

I love it. I just started my third time through yesterday. I did the 30 day shred the first time back in mid April and it made a huge difference in my strength and fitness. I have tried other programs but I keep coming back to this one. It's short, only 20 minutes, and you can make it harder by using heavier weights. This…

Great job on your weight loss, very inspiring. Just want to say these people you know are acquaintances. Friends celebrate your victories. When I was in high school a long time ago I first lost my weight in what would become a cycle of up and down weight. My "friends" reacted in a similar manner, telling me I am different…

Wonderful! Congratulations.

Mine do. My rings get really loose and nearly fall off.

Thank you for sharing your very inspiring story.

It really depends on body comp. I am 5'3" and when I weighed 125 I felt fat, but I never exercised. When I was 132 and running an hour a day followed by weight machines I looked and felt great. That was a few decades ago though. Im just getting back into working out. I am at 142 now down from 155 a few months ago. I want…

I took a picture four months ago with a very tight fitting workout top that showed all the rolls. I hate that picture but I couldn't deny what it showed. Like the last several years coving all that up wig loose fitting tshirts. Now yesterday I took another one with the same top. Rolls are almost all gone. The improvement…

You look great! Congratulations!

I certainly understand this. Since I have lost some weight I notice that I get better treatment and eye contact from store employees and other random things. The service manager (male) where I got my car serviced actually flirted with me and winked at me the other day. It was weird because I don't know how to respond…

Oh that's a great story, congratulations! I know I get as embarrassed to look at the size of my shadow as I do reflections in windows or photos. Wonderful !

I'm pretty sure this is because I am more healthy looking, and leaner and fitter...yesterday I went to buy some wine and was asked to show my ID. I am 52 years old. :).

I like to snack on diced chicken for protein. Jerkey is salty but there are some lower sodium varieties. Protein bars are good.

Thanks for sharing, and I respect you for who you are. I know it's easy to say but don't look back. Every day is a gift , take care.

At the beginning of summer I bought a shirt size medium and felt good about getting into a medium again. Last week it was looking baggy so I got the exact same style in a small (and at half off).

That's wonderful! Those are the sort of NSV that make the hard work worth it in my opinion. Because the physical events like you described now are fun and not a chore. Great job!

Before I started seriously working out ( in Feb and the first in many years) I lacked the energy and strength to do a lot of regular household type chores. I recently started lifting weights too and I have seen my energy level and strength increase a great deal. This month I repainted the bathroom and pulled up ( with my…

This is my second time for 30day shred. I started in April the first time and finished it in May. I took rest days when I needed it. I was too scared of the scale back then to weigh in but I lost inches and people commented on my losing weight. I tried some other workouts after such as Burn Fat Boost Metabolism and…

Great job, you are doing a big favor to yourself! Thanks for the inspiration.

Great job!

Wow, you seem like an amazing person and I mean that sincerely. Like many people you have been busy taking care of other people and now you need to take care of yourself. You can do it!

I am doing both this month. I am working towards alternating days but right now it is more like every 3 days. they are great workouts and long ones! I really like NMTZ but there is one exercise called surrender that I have to skip at this time, I am working on being able to do it though.
