I've actually cut down on my sodium lately, my body doesn't seem to be too sensitive to sodium--I went over on my sodium every day for months. Haven't taken any measurements, maybe I'll start doing that. Right now, all I want to see is 199, but my body seems determined to not let me have it, lol!

I have advjusted my goals several times...usually after 10lbs of weight lost. I always weigh myself at the same time and before I eat/drink anything. Just recently I adjusted my calorie goals for a 1lb/week loss because I'm approaching my goal weight, would that have an effect on anything?

If you're exercising an hour a day, you want more carbs. Just make sure what carbs you do eat are good carbs! Chicken breast and brown rice is a good, filling meal.

GNC multi, GNC fish oil, whey protein

Had to request a new uniform at work for the second time! Went from a size 48 coat to a 40, size 40 pants to a 34. I've been on a plateau weight wise since I started lifting again (think it's water weight) so it's nice to have some NSVs here and there to keep my eye on the prize

Woot Woot, don't have any of those up here in the northland!

It will go away on its own, don't try anything radical to force it. Continue to diet and exercise as you usually would. If you're really desperate, try cutting back your sodium intake, that may help

For me, the only way to get rid of my soda habit was to quit drinking it cold turkey. I do drink diet coke occasionally, so maybe try that?

Alcohol gets demonized a lot on this site. I'm 21, in college, and I drink mostly every weekend. Sometimes heavily. I have a full time job, go to class full time, and hve managed to lose almost 75 pounds since March 1st. I'm far from being "immature" as many of you are labeling those who chose to drink alcohol. I don't…

I hated everything about being fat, so I decided to change it :)

You need to stop beating yourself up over the little things. The weight loss progress is a LIFESTYLE change. In your life, you have challenges, and you have to face them. Make no mistake, weight loss is no different. People go on vacations, and people indulge on vacations. That is OKAY!!! Beating yourself up over putting…

I've had the same thing when it comes to family telling me I don't need to lose any more (I'm also about 20lbs away from my goal.) I just shrug it off and tell myself that I am the only one who will know when I'm "done." Like you, I've never really been a healthy weight, so I think it's taking some adjusting for them. I'm…

My own 20 min HIIT session is probably my favorite. -2 minutes walking -Run .5-1 miles (depending on the day) -Sprint for a minute (10mph+), walk for 45 seconds, repeat as many times as you'd like. Just ordered a speed jump rope and I can't wait to get started on that, I'll proabably come up with some circuit exercise once…

Hate to break it to you, but it's not gonna happen. It takes some people MONTHS to lose a few inches off their waist. You're better off starting to log and exercise properly now so that you're in shape for your vacation NEXT YEAR. Going on a crazy, crash diet for 15 days is only going to hurt you and your goals.

Need more healthy fats and protein!! Almonds, eggs, fish, whey protein are your friends!

protein shake, protein bar, almonds, pretzels, eggs, greek yogurt

Definitely bulk. I don't think you have too much fat left, that just looks like skin to me.

I'd love to see some studies that back up those claims. If you're starving youtself for days, then sure you're going to start "eating" your muscles, but the way she worded that claim makes it sound like that mid-afternoon hunger that many people get and push past is "eating" thier muscles. I've never read anything that…

If you have a good amount of weight to lose, 10 pounds may not be that noticeable. Also, since you look at yourself in the mirror every day, sometimes it's hard to see the changes for yourself. I've lost almost 75 pounds and because I still have some of my belly fat it's hard for me to really see much of a difference. Yet,…

I've been overweight (more or less) for my entire life. While I'm having a hard time picturing how I'll look once I get there, I sure know it'll be a great day!

My goal is to lose 90 pounds--close enough to 100 that I'll chime in. For me, finding foods that I actually LIKE that fit into my goals was the key. If you're not eating what you enjoy, you'll lose motivation much faster. I think about how awesome I'm going to feel the day I step on the scale and see my goal weight.…

I used to drink preposterous amounts of soda--probably close to 2 liters a day. Saying that I was addicted would be a HUGE understatement. The day I started my weight loss I bought a root beer on my way home from work. Put it in my cup holder, looked at it, and said "that's it, I'm done, I'm not drinking this." That root…

ketchup, dijon mustard, black pepper

Started at size 40 waist, currently a 34. I've lost 72#. So that means, for me, 24# per size

Bought a new belt a couple months ago and as of today I'm on the last hole, feels good :)

I've been doing the 16:2 since I started my weight loss on March 1 without even realizing I was doing it. For me, the more time I spend around food, the more likely I am to over-eat, so I try to limit myself to two large meals a day. Breakfast was (still is) my favorite meal of the day. I love breakfast. So, to account for…

I've found that electronic music motivates me the best while running. You can run to the beat and the fast pace of the music gives me more energy

I was in a similar situation as you. When I first started in March I was eating ~400 below my calorie goal NOT INCLUDING exercise (was doing 45-60 minutes of cardio/day.) The weight was literally falling off for the first 2 months or so and then I stalled. That's when I started reading this board and found out that…

I have lost 40 pounds in 9 weeks. It's possible if you are willing to put in the work.
