You can do it! I recommend finding an exercise you really like that pairs with your eating. Do you have a gym close? Walking is a good start. Weight, age. It's an estimate anyway, and probably an over-estimate. Only way to really tell is a heart rate monitor. As your weight changes and you get older, the number of calories you burn doing anything goes down.

I find that if I bust my butt working out, and have a huge calorie deficit so that my stomach is growling, I have a very hard time sleeping. It's okay to snack as long as it fits in your calorie plan.

How do we cope? Some of us exercise self control. The same as some Brits. When I lived in the UK, I saw an awful lot of obese people. Just like in the US. I love Five Guys and it's great for an occasional treat.
