idk if this helps but it was true for me My mom told me its 25lbs to drop a pant size I was a size 22 and went down to a 13/14 (if was doing squats it would have been a 14.. but i had no butt so i was more a 13) that's 292lbs down to 212 but im also 5'11 so take that in mind :)

i did this yesterday.. I'm trying to do a 1000 calorie diet which has been working out really well. but like at lunch I had 2 low sodium rice cakes with turkey and swiss cheese on top with mustard about 200 calories and i felt ripped off that such a tasteless meal was so many calories and i was still hungry *shrugs*…

it depends on each person and their body for me since i'm huge it doesn't take much for the lbs to drop I cut out any and all junk diet set exercise and I was losing the very first week other people especially those that are already smaller it takes more work and takes longer

take out the ranch replace with a vinaigrette stop using bacon bits and croutons and slices of bread eat some protein... since you are a vegetarian maybe... beans? uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh soy products? tofu? idk much about vegetarian diets sorry but im sure there are a million pinterest recipes to help you out
