Sadly..it has taken me over a year...to drink water plain. I used to do the whole mio thing..then less and less..then gravitated to lemon/limes...now..I prefer water plain..it seems sweet to me without anything in it..

Peeked at your diary...I don't think the issue is when you eat..but what you eat. Lots of processed foods have loads of sodium. Try to add some fresh fruits and veggies.

I live in Colorado. I did a race on New Years day and it was I think 5 degrees..I wore base layer top and pants..and a light jacket..and was fine.
