  • I have been going to my doctor since April of 2011. She did diagnose me as hypo..she concentrated more on me losing weight since I have PCOS, IR as well. Fast forward to last year..I was still feeling crappy..the office said it was probably because of my cortisol levels (daughter ran away and mom passed away)...go tthose…
  • The average is 1-2 pounds a week..so if you keep a deficit..you are going to lose about 12-24 but you have to keep a few things in mind 1. It didnt take you 3 months to gain the weight..so the process of losing it will be slower 2. The slower you lose the weight..the likely the chances of you keeping the weight off 3. You…
  • I have 5.5 pounds to lose to meet my UGW...At that point I would have lost 52 pounds..It wasnt easy..I am 3 years in..I had times where I was on a role...then there were times I put back on 5-10-15 pounds. The secret is to make sure that you dont give up...life happens... Just keep going..
  • We record everything on our DVR...there are shows we watch as a family...shows just hubby and I watch, he watches with our kid..and other shows my kid and I watch.. we still get our quality time in...its all about making it happen rather than moaning about it...
  • when we first adopted...my husband stayed at home since I was the major bread winner. He went back to work..and I have stayed home off an on because of layoffs--I hated it!!... I am now up when they go to school..I come home ask about their day..cook dinner and have family meals...being a SAHM is great for some..but not…

  • Hey ladies...just thought I would join the conversation. Going gluten free was hard...but its actually helped loads with weight loss. • I think its harder when you have an auto-immune disease. when you cheat..your body totally rebels. I have Hashimotos..so eating gluten..even on a cheat meal...will do much harm for longer than a day.. Its out of necessity we do GF..not because its "healthy"..sounds weird I know..
  • well from looking at your diary..you probably need to eat more. also if your body composition is changing ..thats a good thing. for instance..i am theoretically 5 pounds heavier than my lowest weight...but am a size smaller..I would rather change my body comp ..than lose weight..if that makes sense..
  • My mom passed at 81...but she traveled up until then. Life is made to live..not made to sit around and wait for things to happen!. I agree..I plan on doing what I want till the day I die.. Then in contrast..I have a 75 year old aunt living with me..who is one of those.."waiting to die" old ladies...its rough...and…
  • nope....i am almost at UGW...and know how to figure calories..
  • the BMF has to "learn" you..give it some time. Move around normally..and after a few weeks..see where you land. I average 6-8000 steps a day...just for the simple fact I work downtown..and do lots of walking. On days I dont to crap...I burn about 1800..which is good for me..
  • Give it a few days to "learn" your habits...your TDEE may go up..or go down...It took mine a few days to calibrate...
  • Yup...I will never be that weight again. I have a few left..that are baggy..but I bought them at my 1st Goal weight..now that I am heading back down to UGW..and losing body fat..where I didnt before..same clothes that fit at the first goal weight..are now..it seems..2 sizes too big..Its all about bodyfat for…
  • Hubby and I met at work...I rarely saw him..but then it was nice when I did. I don't think its a bad idea as long as you both go into this knowing that you may have to crack the whip on him a few times
