Thank you SO MUCH ladies for your perspectives! I'm always super hard on myself and just want to be back to where I was. BTW I'm going to be 35 at the end of April and I'm 5'7. I know I'm supposed to be taking in around 1,800 calories a day with baby but it's hard to eat that much some days - hence the chocolate and wine…

I manage to just stop sugar by having my protein shakes because they're sweet. I also make oatmeal and put a banana in it instead of adding additional sugar. Fruit really helps if you have a sugar craving. My biggest weakness is dark chocolate. I can eat it for days and want to die because my stomach is in knots, but I…

I've been suffering with IBS for over 12 years now... it SUCKS! Mind you, I have found out what my trigger foods (for the most part) an done of them is alcohol. My stomach KILLS when I have alcohol. Now that you are logging what you're eating, keep track of what bothers you and what causes the constipation. I know for a…

I do it... a lot, I mean give up foods and stuff. But chocolate is the most difficult thing for me. My protein shakes are chocolate and I made protein browies last night to help. I've been splurging a bit too much on the dark chocolate this past week

I started doing challenges and I would be accountable in fitness groups. If I didn't do my workout in the morning, I would be exhausted and not be able to complete it after work - I'm like a walking zombie after work. So, I started getting up at 6 for 30 day shred and 21 day fix, then 5:30 for Insanity and now I'm up at…

Smack my supposed best friend in the face and tell her to smarten the *kitten* up because she's being a f*cking b*tch!

This thread is interesting.. and yes I've bee reading it the whole way through. I have dated, long term, short term, 1 date, 3 dates, online, etc. Just over a year ago I went through a lot of "stuff" and was completely hooked on someone that was crazy for me but couldn't bring himself to being with me. With that, I swore…

I also finally got one for Christmas... I'm very confused as to how I use this thing! If anyone has any pointers/advice I would REALLY appreciate it. I was really off during the holidays and am getting myself back on track as of today. I am finishing up Insanity on Saturday and moving over to Insanity Max 30 on Monday. If…

IF my shoulder is OK, I want to start Body Beast after I'm done with Insanity and then go onto 21 day fix Extreme.

I do 1 to 1.5g for every lb of muscle on average. So I am about 138 (or so) body fat around 18-19% so 117g or so of protein a day would be best.

I've succeeded here and then got sick... then injured and I finally came back in full force in September. Since then I've lost about 10lbs or more (I don't have much to lose). I keep my diary open for everyone for food ideas. I'm always here to help.

I just finished my bag of shako about a week or 2 ago. I miss it. But, I don't think spending that much on a shake is worth it. Yeah, I felt good, but I found that it was more my mindset rather then the shakes helping me. They taste great, I had the chocolate one. It only has 17g of protein whereas my shakes now have 30g.…

This is probably not the answer you're looking for, but my gf HATES FISH! I got her to slowly start eating fish with breaded haddock. It's the only one she will eat, but it's still fish. I'm a big fan of salmon on the bbq with a massive salad. It is kind of 'fishy' but the bbq taste just makes it taste THAT much better!…

I did it... yes I got bored out of my tree doing it, but I do love Jillian Michaels, so I stuck to it. The way I got through it was literally setting my alarm 40 mins early, rolling out of bed in the morning, putting on the dvd and going at it. I managed to finish it in September, went on to 21 day fix (which I'm in LOVE…

The only thing that matters are the inches coming off, not the weight. Don't sweat it and keep your focus :) good luck!

Anything Tyler Perry - he's amazing!

You don't 'have' to eat fruit, but if you do, try to eat it before 1pm or so. Stick it in a shake for sweetness or in yogurt. I have about 2-3 cups a day of fruit max. I eat a lot of veggies myself.

it's not necessary to have carbs at every meal. I eat them, but I usually try to eat them earlier in the day along with my fruit. once or twice a week I will have them for dinner. But if you're going to have them, brown rice, sweet potatoes, quinoa, brown bread - never ever ever ever white anything! It's crap.

I went on a road trip 2 summers ago with a gf of mine and we stopped for a coffee/tea on the way from Ontario to New Brunswick (about 14 hours) once and for pee stops. I made sandwiches, apples, carrots, hummus, cheese, crackers, salads, homemade protein cookies, homemade protein bars, celery, peppers, nuts (almonds), it…

That's only if you have A LOT of weight to lose. I wanted to be down 5, which is reasonable, and I lost 7lbs. I was 145 and went down to 138. Big woop! It's the eating system for people who have trouble knowing how much they should eat and when that is so beneficial. I knew, but I didn't know how to apply it. Now I do, and…

I am in LOVE with this program! It is absolutely fantastic. I did it and I'm not very big, but I lost a total of 7lbs in 21 days which is usually impossible for me. I still use the container system and switched my workouts over to Insanity.

When I was originally doing my thing the first time around on MFP, I had given up alcohol, processed foods and sugar for 3 months, dropped the weight and was able to maintain it drinking a bottle of wine (maybe more) every couple of weeks while watching my calories and lifting like a mofo. I mean I worked out HARD!!! I'd…

The community does help when there are questions to be answered and if you're looking for advice. Motivation can be helpful, as well, but all in all, it's up to you. My first time around I totally kicked *kitten*, I got my 4 pack going working on a 6 pack and got sick. I decided to keep working out and I gained 15lbs. I…

160 lbs (I'm 5'7) - that was after training in Newfoundland. Had a great time but gained 15 lbs.

If I need something quick, I usually grab wraps. Throw in some chicken, hummus, lettuce, tomatoes and eat up (maybe 300 calories or so?). You can also do tuna with greek yogurt s/p, celery, onion with lettuce and tomatoes in a wrap. Add whatever else. If you like rice cakes, have those. I do with almond/peanut butter…

It wasn't and easy task, but I learned to bake 'healthier' treats. Example, I made quinoa cookies this weekend. Mind you, it's the first time I splurged in over a month. I had 4 of them. And I had some dark chocolate. Something else I absolutely love and can't get enough of, so I had 1/2 bar. Then, I stopped myself because…

AHEM! You make it sound like 55 is OLD.....????? ;) [/quote] LOL - mom is not old by any means, but she's not in the best of health, so, I give her a break :) She helps me cut up veggies and stuff and we tend to argue when I tell her to go sit down and relax.
