I just LOVE when people post about how perfect they eat and how much they exercise and they have it in their brain that a person can't lose weight at all unless they eat perfectly...like there is no room for error whatsoever. That's great if people eat "clean", but there are many people here that are learning along the…

I personally don't have the time or money to deal with the gym. I go for walks and workout at home. So far it's working because I have lost 10 lbs in the first month (and I didn't have to spend a dime doing it). Having a small, personal gym at home would be nice, but that's an idea that will have to come far down the road.…

My initial goal weight is 160 lbs, but ideally I would like to be 145ish lbs. I have a slightly larger frame. It really depends on your body frame, but I would think anything below 120 is too low for 5'6" height.

Love your post! Very practical (and open) mind-set. I think it's great if people eat clean, exercise this way or that, but weight loss is truly a personal journey. Advice is wonderful, criticism...not so much sometimes. I have been harsh on myself in the past when I couldn't stick with a certain program or diet plan. But…

I did it years ago and lost about 20 lbs or so. I gained back about 5 lbs and then maintained that weight up until I got pregnant with my 1st daughter. It did work, but I agree that it can be hard to sustain long term (at least for me it was). So far I am doing well with MFP and practicing moderation and exercising more.…

Haha and here I thought I was the only one. I know what you mean though. I got down on the floor to do some crunches one day and my 18 months old climbed on me and started laughing. She thought I was getting on the ground to play with her. Lol

Hi. I am a mom of 2 girls (4 years old and 18 months). I just started this program 20 days ago and have lost 6 pounds so far, but I still have 55 lbs to go to reach my end goal. So far I love this program. I hope you do too. :)

I think if you have the will to do it, than that's great. It's not going to hurt you at all. But, personally, everytime I've tried to cut out sweets all together it actually just makes me want it that much more. When I finally do give in, I end up over-eating more than I would if I had just stuck to moderation. I'm…

I use flavored creamers too. I actually don't want to have to give them up completely. But since using this program, I've started to measure what I put in to my cup in the mornings. Now I measure out 1tbsp per cup and use one packet of splenda instead of my usual 2-3 tbsp per cup (with no added sweeteners). I still get the…

I just had a night like that tonight. well sort of. I had a movie night with my family and allowed myself to go over my calories this evening while watching the movie. I still tracked it all in my food diary and then wrote myself a note that said that I knew I was going to go over tonight on my calories and I wasn't…

This is just something that I read about somewhere. I really could be wrong, but I have heard that sometimes hunger signals can mimmick thirst signals in our bodies. Sometimes when we think we are hungry, that might actually be our bodies way of telling us that it is getting dehydrated. Has anyone else heard of this? I…

I'm actually enjoying my cherry coca-cola zero very much....and if this is my vice, then so be it, I guess. To each their own.

I'm new to this program, but I would think that if you're tired at 1200 calories then that is your bodies way of telling you that you need more calories (either that or the TYPE of calories you're getting aren't healthy types of calories, e.g. "empty calories"..not that I'm saying that's what you're doing). But if you were…
