Oof, you poor thing! The hernia in your disc must be painful, well done for exercising - you're a champion! And thanks for opening your diary :) I would of course say "eat more" but it's easier said than done. I noticed on your previpus posts that you've only been doing this for a few weeks? *pulls up chair,…

How long have you been trying to lose weight for? How many calories are you consuming a day? How much exercise are you doing? How many calories are you netting a day? Also, if you open your diary we can try and make suggestions  How low are we talking? Better not be any less than 1200 or my head will explode!…

Hi :) It says on your profile that you'd like to lose 27lbs, is that still the case? If so, you shouldn't even be thinking about cosmetic surgery! We don't know anything about your height or weight, how much exercise you do, how many calories a day you eat etc... what makes you think you won't get rid of it through diet…

"How do I stick with this?!" By not doubting yourself in the first place, beautiful lady! You are a strong kick *kitten* woman.:smokin: Kick *kitten* one day at a time. Repeat for the rest of your life.:drinker: Look back in a few months and be like "WOAH. I stuck with this and now I kick *kitten*!"

Bev4life, you have such an adorable smile! Also, amazing commitment - you've been on since March '12!

This... is a bloody beautiful challenge OP. I'll have a go at complimenting because, although we all have different goals and lifestyles, we are all on MFP for the mutual support. I would be absolutely USELESS without the people I've got as friends here on MFP. This website has been great for encouragement - let's not get…

Hey :) I've been on Metformin for the last 4 years haha, I'm still trying to get off it! Breakfasts for me were tricky as well. I mix things up by having protein + carbs together (could be protein shake with oatmeal one day, greek yoghurt + fruit the next). Have a look at my food diary if you want to see the different…

Absolutely amazing, you took control and you OWNED IT! A really inspiring story too, thank you so much for sharing

I started upping mine around 100 / 150 calories each week

The reward to motivate me to reach my goal.... honestly, it's being able to get off my T2 Diabetes medication! I'd love to have a body that can use energy properly!

I didn't take proper "before" pictures because I thought I'd jinx myself! XP Really wish I had now... Listen, the only thing that'll set you up for failure is the mindset of "I'm going to fail". So just don't fail and you can have as many "before" photos as you want! :flowerforyou:

Okay ladies and jellyspoons! Measurements and weight have officially been recorded! (Weight's gone up 0.5kgs since yesterday... blow it, I'm counting 55.6kg as my starting weight even though it'll make my ticker look bad  ) Weight: 55.6kg Neck: 11.8" Waist: 26" Hips: 34" Chest: 33" Arms: 10.2" Thighs: 20.5" Body fat…

Okay guys, that's it :) I'm no longer gonna be the "calorie-phobe". I'm going to move on from the whole "I lost weight YAY" phase and get serious about changing the way my body looks! This is gonna take ages... I'm looking forward to it! Starting tomorrow I'll get down all my measurements for arms, thighs, waist, neck,…

I'd like to get to 18 - 20% body fat eventually :) yeah, this is why I got really confuaed with what I was doing... one minute I'm wanting to lose weight, next I want to eat enough to build muscle.... I don't want to be seesawimg anymore! Like people have said, it'll take lots and lots of time, effort and patience. Luckily…

Great stuff everyone, this is why I love MFP :) I even got a response from a moderator which makes me feel super special :blushing: I have some homework to do - ha, kind of embarrassed about thinking "body recomposition" results would be visible in four weeks....well now I know better! Thanks everybody!

Firstly, I would like to give a huge cheer for you being able to add fruit back into your diet - I have this weird addiction to fruit, it's like my drug! Very happy for you, fellow T2D :drinker:  Yeahh, it's still a deficit isn't it? *hangs head* I'm just going to start with that! I've not been strength training…

Although that info did seem really useful, I think my brain exploded a little bit after reading it! I wouldn't feel confident at all with that just yet, I need to figure out what my TDEE is before that. Wow, I'd love to get to that many calories! It sounds like I need to have a good few weeks to actually see what my TDEE…

Okay, scoobys workshop have me on roughly 1900 calories a day to maintain weight. MFP have me as 1850 to maintain weight. I feel that this is too much so I've been recently trying to net 1600 calories for the week - I only stupidly set my goal to 1450 yesterday! I'm aiming for between 1500 - 1600 net calories a day.
-
Why thank you everybody, it feels amazing to hear that! :blushing: *curtesy* Now then, what do I want exactly... good question. I want to lose fat and stop feeling so jiggly. I want to be lean, not "thin"! I'd love more muscle. The reason I want to do this is because I'm trying to shake off my t2 diabetes: I want to…

Okay, what do you suggest I do? Thanks for the heads up btw :) Oops, I thought it meant increase muscle while losing fat! My mistake. Ahh. This is a penny dropping moment for me, thanks! Yep, definitely! I'm slowly moving up as the weeks go on And totally, I'm really not expecting results in 4 weeks, I just want…

 Tell us more. I'm intrigued. :indifferent:

Lol yeah, great stuff, 10000 useful comments followed with ONE pill recommendation... wonder who'll get the thanks for their advice?!

OP, where did you go? The most recommended fat burner for HUMAN BEINGS is a calorie deficit. If you're hungry, eat something! You'd better not be netting any less than 1200 calories a day and you'd better not be skimping on protein / healthy fats either! What kind of boost are you expecting exactly? Energy? Drink coffee!…
-
Aw, this made me well up a bit :,) I'm so happy for you, we've been friends on MFP for a while now but I had no idea you fractured your knee in February! Look how far you've come, you are beautiful, strong and confident - just like you should be! All I can say is congratulations and thank you for being such a great role…

I've been on Metformin for 4 years (since 19 years old) and it's never affected my time of the month. I'd say it has more to do with your birth control and vomiting... hope you get it sorted soon! Stay well :) x

You joined in April, right? Think about the progress you could have made in those 4 months. Think about how amazing you'd feel right now! Okay, now stop thinking about it... and think about how you will feel tomorrow or today after sticking to your recommended calorie intake. Imagine that huge sense of "YESSSS" (haha,…
