Thanks! Yeah I think a bit of trial and error is probably what's needed to find my actual TDEE. I was just unsure where to start and what level that sort of activity would normally be considered. But now that I think about it I probably will just start at 'lightly active' and review/adjust after a while if I continue to…

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks Quest bars taste awful! Generally no, I wouldn't eat something just because of its nutritional value. I might try something based on its nutritional value (see: Quest bars) but if I don't like it, I won't eat it again. I'll just try and find something else with similar…

I am going out for Mexican food and margaritas with a friend! I will not be counting calories (or the amount of margaritas) but I have decided to have a smallish main course to make room for more (uncounted) margaritas and some churros for dessert! :yum:

Nope. Couldn't do it. I love my regular meals and snacks. Mmmm... snacks! :yum:

My goal was 153 which I reached on Monday just gone. Now my goals are to build strength/muscle definition, lose one more dress size and not worry so much about the number on the scale. I'm going to attempt to achieve these things by eating at maintenance and doing a body recomp.

Also, I just looked up Bark Thins and oh my gosh they sound delicious! Unfortunately I am in the UK and I don't think we have them here... :disappointed:

Roasted chickpeas! Now there's an idea! I love chickpeas. Thanks for the suggestion.

Mmm I love Edamame! :yum:

Thanks so much everyone! I am so happy! YAY MAINTENANCE! YAY MORE FOOD!

Personally I really don't understand the seemingly universal love for Quest bars... To me they're like chewing on an old tyre!! I have tried a couple of other brands and they're not much better. I just don't like the texture! I think I might need to try the trick of microwaving them to soften them up a bit? There are some…

Don't question yourself, you are right! Unless you are adding milk, butter etc to the eggs the calories do stay the same no matter how you cook them. Some people add things like 'scrambled egg' to the database but this could have both milk and butter added (or anything they fancy for that matter). I just log the eggs, milk…

Should I recomp? http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10206736/advice-needed-on-what-to-do-next-to-recomp-or-not

Exactly this.

Eggs are delicious. This "diet" is dumb.

Awesome, thanks so much for the advice. You look great!! I am starting to lean more towards eating at maintenance because... well, I just love food. LOL!

Thanks for the advice! :)

Thanks, I definitely intend to do some bodyweight workouts! I just don't know whether to continue at a deficit or eat at maintenance and try a recomp. Which do you think would be best?

mte! see also: "destroy all the *kitten* you could dream of". gross

Not quite at maintenance yet but I made a promise to myself that I WILL NOT put the weight back on so I have already donated lots of my clothes and I'm taking several more bags to my local charity shop today. Bye bye, 'fat' clothes, I will never need you again! It's liberating!

Ice cream/gelato. I usually plan and pre-log so I have enough calories for a sweet treat after my dinner every day, but if I had that many left I would have as much ice cream as possible for 450 cals.

I had heard so much about these Quest bars... Managed to find them in a health food shop here, paid an extortionate £2.50 for it... GROSS! Like chewing on a pencil eraser. I just don't get it. Anyway... I DO like the Nature Valley protein bars - pumpkin/sunflower seed ones and also peanut/chocolate. Yum! I had one today in…

Thanks so much, everyone! I do feel so much better for it. At the weekend I bought a dress FOUR sizes smaller than the ones I was wearing this time last year - it felt AMAZING!
