I rarely judge these days just cos I know we discipline the kids and I do my best but Andrew is an epic threenager and throws a great public tantrum! I'm just glad he's not a fighter! That being said, nobody from nursery or preschool has ever mentioned bad behaviour to me, so here's hoping it's a normal level for his age!

That makes more sense. I don't really have any solutions, I'm assuming Mike stills works away a lot? Are there any real life groups you could join doing something you enjoy? The pot is calling the kettle black here, I've been meaning to join a dance class for MONTHS.

I don't like the word lazy as it is usually masking something deeper. Motivation is a difficult thing when you're down on yourself. How are you feeling in general @MoHousdon ?

I'm officially back up to my starting mfp weight from October 2014. What a bummer. I don't actually feel too bad about it. In that time I've created two children, put on 54lbs first time, lost it all, then put on 40lbs and lost all but 15lbs of it. I've found it much harder to lose second time around, and in fact have put…

Well done, that is a proper confessions thread post! The important thing is you realised eventually, and at least you didn't cut off your tongue!

There's nothing disgusting about food (unless you put it in the bin and douse it in washing liquid 😉) and certainly you are not disgusting for eating something, but I guess if you feel it helps you that's your call. No judgement, I just don't like to see folk be mean to themselves. Good luck to you.

I can't watch action films because I just can't sit back and enjoy, I have to dissect all the impossible bits, the more mundane, the better. Currently watching a bit of Jurassic World on TV, which ignoring the main premise is full of beautiful stretches of ludicrous. As the main guy is riding his motorcycle through the…

Watching Eurovision because that's the law in this house and LOVING the ballerina dancing during the French song. I've always believed dance is for every kind of body, and that girl can fouetté spin better than I've ever managed so she gets my vote.

Firstly, rant-fession is an excellent word! Secondly, right there with you. I know if I lost about ten pounds I'd feel much better just because suddenly my clothing options would be much wider and it's not far off my comfortable weight, but can I motivate myself to do anything about it? Can I 'eck?! (Imagine that last bit…

I can laugh now, but sheesh that boy!

I rarely take both children into shops (other than ones with trolleys) because they're both little kleptomaniacs and the aisles are too narrow in our little town to keep everything out of reach. But the boy really excelled himself this afternoon. Going through the newsagents to the post office at the back and he goes to…

Turns out my mum had her hip replacement op today and I didn't find out until afterwards. It was due at the end of the month but there was a cancellation so she jumped forward (well not literally if course). I'm kind of glad I didn't know, as I didn't spend all day at work worrying about it. And luckily I was organised and…

That is freaking adorable though.

I can't imagine 15! I'm already astonished to have a 3 year old and nearly 18 month old. How did this happen?!
-
Can you believe my little lad had his first morning at preschool this week?! Time flies. It's a small village school so they mix the preschoolers in with reception class (kindergarten??). So he looked tiny compared to the 5 year olds - he's 3 and a little shortie. Super cute in his tiny school uniform though! He was a bit…

My logging is nonexistent. I didn't go particularly crazy over Easter, but then again I always eat too much chocolate! I'm donating a few Easter goodies to the food bank tomorrow. The grandparents forget the kids to not need that much chocolate (I've given them plenty, I'm not mean) and if it stays in the house I will eat…

It is ridiculously warm for an Easter weekend in the UK! We're talking barbecue weather and no playing outside without a hat and suncream! It was lovely but I'm a bit paranoid we're going to have a major drought this summer, it's been so dry all winter and spring.

When I eat almonds I put them in the tiniest Tupperware I have (I think it's meant for salad dressing) just because I can't accidentally eat 3oz and it half empty boxes of one serving are SAD.
-
You are not the only one! I'm having to become ever sneakier now the children are mobile and into everything. I guess I should just give it up, but I already don't drink alcohol or coffee and the baby won't let me sleep. Mama needs her chocolate!!
-
I bet you looked ace Mel! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
-
I didn't go in the OR, they gave a little room to the side where they do the anaesthetics. I remember when I had my operation a few years ago being super disappointed I didn't see the OR because I was asleep before I went in!
-
Just for the initial gas through the face mask (he wouldn't stay still). I left before the actual needle, that's the policy. Plus I hated seeing him in that weird induced sleep.
-
And we're out again. Bit groggy but enjoying his toast!
-
The boy is in surgery. The anaesthetist asked me if I was in the medical field because apparently I was super calm as they were putting him to sleep. I just figured talking to him would be the best thing to keep him happy. Waiting now, hopefully not for long.

I burnt my forearm today. Got a big three inch long red blister. Well done me, winning at life.
-
I would say, it's good to plan but don't get too bogged down in the details. I kept reminding myself, most people do this, and most people manage one way or another!
-
Don't worry Lois, half of that doesn't apply to us Brits and the other half I am sticking my head in the sand and going lalalala!
-
Just found out today the boy is having his grommets operation and possible adenoids removal next Wednesday! There was a cancellation and this drops right during the Easter holidays so I jumped at the chance. Bit shocked, but rather get it over and done with before he starts school at the end of the month. Dreading the…

I hope it gets better for you soon Nicole. So maybe I am an awful person, but to all those dad friends who just moan and whinge about how they have no fun any more and their whole lives have changed, I am judging their dad and husband skills majorly. Of course your life is going to change, kids are a massive upheaval, but…

It's mother's day in the UK. Hubby did manage to make a homemade card with the kids while I was at work (I love such things the more rubbish looking, the better) but it's been an otherwise normal day of mess and running about and trying to get stuff on my business done while not letting the kids to anything too stupid, and…
