  • So have bacon and eggs, nobody is saying you need to try it if you don't want to. I'm curious why a product like this brings out such strong reactions from people. It is simply one of many possible alternatives to fixing a meal or dining out.
  • I get the pre-mixed in a bottle delivered. I don't live off it but use it for a quick late night meal at work and sometimes it helps me avoid giving in to McDonalds and Taco Bell if I have one to drink for breakfast on the way home. It's balanced nutrition, you can quibble about whether it should have more or less fat,…
  • Indeed, I was just looking for impressions from people who had tried the product and if it was useful for their own plan. I understand that it is not for everyone and never implied that it was or should be.

  • My city (Columbus, Indiana) just got a bike share program and my motivation to start using it was just to help ensure its success but I have found that it has motivated me once again to get serious about my weight loss program and to once again commit myself to counting calories with MyFitnessPal. My physical effort with…
  • Yes, I agree that it is better to eat whole foods, chemical free foods etc. etc. etc. However we all know that most of don't do that or we wouldn't even be here talking about diet and weight loss ( ). Soylent v2.0 in the pre-mixed bottles is simply a quickly consumed alternative that you can have with you when you…

  • I have no intention of living only on Soylent but as a daily replacement for a couple of meals it is remarkable and I actually like the taste. I will continue to use it even as i eventually reach my weight goal. It is quick and easy (the pouch mix is still available but I use the pre-mixed 400 cal bottles) and the calories…

  • I rather like the idea of liquid meals and I may well just continue.

  • I just started drinking Soylent 2.0 in the bottles. I like the taste, it seems to fill me up and it is so easy to maintain calorie control. I've been struggling with binge eating again after losing a significant amount of weight and I've been ever so consistently gaining it back. I'm hoping Soylent will give me the edge…

  • I work a weekend night shift, 7pm to 7 am on Fri, Sat, Sun in an engine testing facility. My young, mostly slender coworkers live on pizza and energy drinks but I have been able to avoid that temptation for the most part but find it hard to avoid McDonalds in the morning on my route home :) I've been slipping a little…
  • I'm hoping that as soon as the weather warms up a bit I'll get back into my daily bicycle riding habit. I never managed to replace it with any other real consistent exercise. What scares me is that I've seen so many other friends and co-workers lose weight quickly but then gain it all back...plus. I thought I was different…
  • I was also concerned with a lack of potassium but have realized that many entries (even official ones from the food vendor labels) often do not have potassium information. I still look at the daily totals and have convinced myself that overall I'm doing OK.
  • There is something in the iPhone settings that you have to give the app permission to access your camera.
  • I work a 3 day 12 hour weekend night shift so I set up a special meal category so I can easily track what I eat during those hours which is completely different than my weekday schedule.
  • I have always taken a Potassium supplement but was curious why it is so low (99 mg) when the recommended allowance is so high. It doesn't seem like there is a high potency potassium supplement.
  • I may go over at the Holiday family gathering but will log everything I put in my mouth as accurately as I can. I'm doing too good to just purposely go crazy.
  • I have noticed that a lot of listings (even those coming from the actual vendors) don't contain potassium information when I know the food contains it. I don't have anything near a real deficiency, just less than the recommendation on the nutrition list. I'm just trying to keep an eye on all those readings as I make…

  • I went over 300 lbs for the first time in my life (I'm 58) and I just couldn't seem to get it back under 300. I started MFP just to earn points for my employers health insurance discounts but it suddenly all made sense! A slow and sensible plan, the pounds have been melting away.
  • You can do it. Stay flexible, take it one day at a time, forgive yourself when you get off track, log everything you eat so you get a true picture of calories in. MFP works for many of us so good luck!
  • That is very annoying as well as non-motivational! They convince you to adjust your settings every time you lose 10 lbs but then it makes it look like all your previous entries were over your calorie budget.
  • I'm making good progress as I head into the holidays. Even when I've gotten off track onto an eating binge I've still logged everything for over 160 days in a row.
  • "Green Vibrance" with added protein powder or "Maximum Vibrance" (protein in the mix) from Vibrant Health, "All-One" multivitamin powder from Nutritech with some fiber powder (Metamucil type) all mixed with juice for a powerful drink.
  • I am getting close to my halfway point and will be a celebration point for me as was this last week when I hit my 40 lbs lost point. I am trying to avoid the urge to celebrate with a bucket of fried chicken :)
  • I weigh myself at work using a Virgin Healthmiles automated test station which feeds my weight and blood pressure into their system which we use as part of our health insurance plan (discounts for participating). To remain consistent I only weigh myself officially at work wearing my normal clothing with heavy work shoes so…
