  • Yes in the settings of your food diary. I know on the web it's Food > settings and then you will see Nutrients Tracked and you can just change that.
  • Hugs hun. You can do this! I feel like I'm going to say a lot of cliches but they all are true. Take it one day at a time and forgive yourself. Also remember one set back doesn't ruin all the good you will do.
  • Leftovers lol. I usually have something , either already in the fridge or frozen. If no leftover then some other options I usually have on hand are Crackers with cheese . Celery or Apples with peanutbutter A throw together salad. Open a can of Black beans, rinse and stir in a little sourcream and seasoning. Maybe add some…
  • So many inspiring photos! Thank you for starting this thread. Several of you ladies had the body I have currently and it makes me look forward to what I can achieve if I stick to what I'm doing today.
  • I don't have an issue uploading a picture using the app so I don't think the issue is with the app necessarily. Just a few suggestions. Maybe your phone memory or data speed. I haven't seen one recently but it doesn't hurt to check whether you have the latest app of MFP as well.
  • You can't do that with MFP.

  • For me walking does help in several ways. Like others have said it helps me lose weight in the standard calories in / calories out formula when used while eating at a calorie deficit. It also helps me by relieving stress and I feel it works great as an appetite suppressant but that may be due to the stress relieving part.…

  • What about Buddha bowls? They usually are pretty adaptable and easily changed up. I have made them for my husband using leftovers vegetables. Lots of options here. https://fitfoodiefinds.com/healthy-buddha-bowl-recipes// Mason jar options I save plastic snack cups used to hold mandarin orange slices for this reason. They…

  • I have the fitbit one and love it. I tried a few other types of activity trackers but they weren't accurate and it bothered me . I do think it helps me see how active I am and since it's synced to my diary it logs my exercise for me and I feel that it's pretty accurate. I don't need to take that extra step to log and I may…
  • If you can afford it, get an Instant Pot. You will have a rice cooker, pressure cooker, slow cooker (though I don't like it for that) etc all in one device. It saves space.
  • I'm in the lose 100 pound weight loss group too and would love more friends.
  • My husband is the type that forgets to eat or gets too busy to eat. He doesn't like to eat any breakfast, and says it gives him heartburn if he eats too early. Then he ends up getting too busy for lunch but will eat a large meal for dinner. I can't do it. I can usually skip breakfast but then I want lunch. I tend to eat…
  • Did you go through the pinned post when you started? It has a lot of really helpful information. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300331/most-helpful-posts-getting-started-must-reads#latest
  • I use mine frequently to make rice and beans. Recipe wise I make many recipes which requires moist cooking. Baby Back Pork Ribs Chicken with 40 garlic cloves. Takes 15 minutes in the IP or 1 hour + in the oven. Jackfruit pulled pork. Takes about 15 minutes IP where traditional cooking is like 45 minutes. Syracuse Salt…
  • You look way younger!
  • Personally for myself I find I crave things for a few days after I give it up but then the cravings go away. This is how it is for nearly any craving I have . You may need to experiment with what works for you. Try weaning yourself off , or try rewarding yourself with one for making it a day or two without it, or try…
  • Well that's what I did as well but not sure that's correct. It's probably my only option right now.
  • I just sprinkle them on things and make hemp milk. For example if you eat oatmeal in the morning, sprinkle it on your oatmeal.
  • I'm with everyone else who is suggesting not to worry about restricting your fat, sugar and salt etc unless a doctor has told you to do so. Eat what you always ate before but watch the portions. I think if you start worrying about macros when you don't need to it makes the weight loss journey more difficult.
  • I make my oatmeal with quinoa for the extra protein. For toppings, has anyone suggested runny egg? I mix my oatmeal with runny eggs, and black pepper. I also like parmesan cheese, black pepper, a little salt and sun dried tomatoes. Another favorite of mine is mixing it with chopped up Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, sugar…

  • I love it! You and I are the same height and your starting weight is just a bit over mine so seeing you now is encouraging! Thanks for posting.
  • I have read about people eating them and claiming it has the most nutrition so if they are , maybe it's not that toxic?
