My favorite thing, especially in the summer months, is frozen red grapes. They get sweeter when they are frozen and , if I portion them out before I freeze them, I can grab and go without worrying about mindlessly eating too many.

Friday Fitness: I have walked most of this week. They haven't been more than 25 minutes at a time, but I commiting to getting back at exercising most days of the week. I figure I will increase the days of the week, get a routine, and then work on the time. Even at 25 minutes, I'm happy because I go all out the whole time.…

Hello, everybody! Been a while since I stopped in. I hope everyone is doing fabulous!

"Pumpkin-esque" as always been my go-to response. Not sure what shape I am after losing weight. I still have trouble visualizing my body accurately, and not what it once was.

Unthinking, I clicked on the link and then thought, "NOOO! I'm at work!". Thank goodness it was just some puppies. LOL

Hi There! I had RNY in December. Feel free to add me if you'd like. There is a group on here for WLSers. It's simply called "Weight Loss Surgery". Try searching. It would be a good place to find like-minded individuals.

Hi! I'm 5' 2" (or 5' 1" if my scoliosis is showing that day. ) and I have about 80 pounds left to lose. Feel free to add me.

Welcome, everyone!

Congrats and excellent work! Inspiring.

Hi all! How's everyone doing? I have been so tired for the last several months and missing quite a few pills due to the exhaustion, so I made a hard decision: I'm switching from overnight, 12-hour shifts with a rotating day of the week schedule to a daytime job with a set 8-hour a day schedule. I love my current job (no…

I have very similar reasons for my weightloss journey. Welcome to MFP!

I always add either peppermint syrup or powdered peanut butter to my chocolate protein shakes. My coworkers think it's weird. When I was a kid, I loved to eat dill pickels with Cheese Whiz on them. My SO's grandfather puts butter on EVERYTHING--cake and pies, to name just a couple. My SO puts ranch dressing on most foods,…

My go-to meals include: Breakfast -- 2 eggs cooked in butter flavored Pam Snack -- 1/2 banana with 1 tbsp natural creamy peanut butter slathered on top; string cheese Lunch/Dinner -- marinated grilled chicken breasts (McCormick's tomato & herb marinade is excellent); tuna salad made with light mayo on a half of an Arnold…

I work in an ER. A certain patient, who weighed easily 400-450 lbs, kept coming in due to COPD (essentially, the extra weight was suffocating this person). I just kept picturing that as my future and it scared me SO much. Also, my extra weight was making me infertile and, if I could have kids, I couldn't imagine keeping up…

Hi Trish. Welcome back to MFP!

Yep, there's a tie between the two. I was just commenting to my coworkers how I'm cold again. I'm always cold now. Can't imagine what it'll be like when I reach my goal.

I had RNY gastric bypass. Yes, it is hard. So many appointments, psychological changes, food restrictions, pain if you eat too much or something that isn't compatable with the changed stomach/bypassed intestine. The surgery is generally done for multiple medical reasons--diabetes, morbid obesity, high blood pressure, etc.…

Clorinda, welcome and congrats on your surgery! The protein will come, it just takes practice and time.

Thanks, Mollie! Question for the RNYers: At 3 months out, I can't take most pills. Tylenol recalled their adult liquid and I've been forced to use the super sugary children's version on the rare occassion I've had a headache that won't go away or I can't deal with anymore. When i use it, I'm more stressed, waiting for my…

Today is my 3 month surg-iversary! :drinker: <--water/non-caffeinated tea. Seems both not that long ago and a very long time ago that I was at the hospital, waiting to go into the O.R. Still weird for me to try to wrap my head around the surgery and my changes sometimes. Three months later, with absolutely no…

Thanks! My Laelah follows my boyfriend like a dog when he's home. If he goes to bed, she goes to bed. If he gets up at night to get a drink or go to the bathroom, she'll get up and then follow him back to bed. She sits on his desk and just stares at him when he's on the computer and she yells at him all the time to get his…

And this is the the crabby old lady--she was a crabby old lady even when she was a kitten--that I had from the time I was 12 years old until I was nearly 31 years old. Her name was Baby. She was just shy of turning 19 years when she passed away. She disliked everyone except me, my mom, and any unconcious human available to…

My Emilee and Laelah... Emilee with her grump face on, probably because I was taking her picture instead of petting her. She LOVES me and sleeps in my arms on her back (like a human infant), every day. Laelah, in her favorite place to spend her nights waiting for my fiance to get home. Laelah is his shadow. They're 4 year…
