Feel free to add me. I'm in a similar position.

I've been maintaining for 2 years - and still log most days (even if not everything). I can now 'guess' portion sizes and now naturally look at calorie compromises - either not both!. I worked hard to lose weight and spent a lot on a new wardrobe. I can't afford to put the weight back on and replace my clothes again.

I've been maintaining for approx. 2 years and still log most days - I set my calories based on losing 1lb per week and this allows me to be over without gaining. Having weighed and logged religiously when I was serious about losing the weight in the first place I believe I can now judge portion sizes and make sensible…

I've been maintaining within a 3lb +/- range for nearly 2 years, but have noticed in the last 3 months or so that I'm feeling flabbier. Clothes are no tighter, and I've not routinely measured so it is no more than a feeling. I can only assume it is the age thing catching up with me.

You've made the first step - take each day at a time, and if you have a bad day (and you will) don't worry. Each day you start with a clean slate. I've been around my goal weight for nearly 2 years & I still try to log everything - even when I know I'll be over on calories. Feel free to add me as a friend

Feel free to add me. Good luck

I've only just found this post, via a link in another. Wish I had read it 2 years ago.

Porridge with fresh fruit, or toast & marmite

Hello from St Albans
-
34lbs lost and dropped 2 dress sizes, and a whole new wardrobe - still no comments from my Husband! Thankfully I have some great friends who have noticed (all female and I hope no just due to the new wardrobe!). Once I hit goal I went for a professional makeover & photo shoot. the compliments I got from these was amazing.

Sorry to hear that you are not getting the support you need at home - but from your comments I guess you sort of expected the comments you got. I had a similar situation 2 years ago, but now, having got near my goal my husband is my biggest supporter. It did take time, and he has still not told me that I look better being…

Good Luck - whatever your motivation, the hardest step is always the first one. And you've already taken that one.

Welcome, feel free to add me - definitely the more the merrier on MFP.

Looking good - well done. Seasons greetings.

I've not had the prolonged plateau (except when I got to the weight I wanted to be) but found when I stalled for a few weeks the best was to have 6-7 days on calorie llimit, then 1 day way over (sometimes almost up to double) this worked for me. Used it a few times - especially when I was nearing my goal.
-
I'm sure thats not true:wink:

We all need friends for that extra help - feel free to add me

Hi And, good luck with your journey - I've be using MFP for nearly 20 months now and wouldn't be without it. I started off with achievable but milestone goals... Getting down into the next stone, then the next one and so on. Every goal attained motivated me to set the next one. I made it to a sensible and healthy weight in…

Definitely a difference - but how you feel is far more important than how you look. After a year I finally made my goal weight and am only just realising the difference by how much room I have in last years summer clothes! Take those measurements!

For me Easter Eggs have been by proxy this year - I've given my husband 3 - and as requested has bought me none. I shall feel very self righteous declining any part of his eggs. That's the plan anyway:wink:

Always in the buff, just before I shower first thing in the morning.

Always log everything, even if it takes you over your allowance. If I know I'm going out I plan in advance what I can have (2 small glasses of white wine usually) and then stick to it. After that I move on to drinking fizzy water. That makes it sound so easy - which we all know it isn't!

Porridge/oatmeal with a banana or apple cut into it. You can make it with milk or water depending on taste and available calories. It always keeps me going, and really easy to do in a microwave.

6ft Started 202lbs 1st April with goal at 180lbs - revised down to 168lbs, then finally to 164lbs. Achieved this 2 weeks ago and happy to stay here which is turning out to be harder than I thought.

A big hello from St Albans -

Officially started at on 1st April at 202 although I had been up over 210. I've just reached my 164 goal this week. I've been looking through my pictures but can not really find any that show where this has gone from. My wardrobe is a completely different matter, as I've had to replace everything from underwear up had…
