Haha, thanks. Contact lenses :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Still have 15lbs or so to lose, but I'm feeling amazing.

I tend to get that. I grew up around scholars and such. Not much interaction with many kids. People my age bore me- I don't drink. I don't party. He and I are working on teaching ourselves Yiddish and correspond via letter in Yiddish to keep that up. We discuss philosophy, religion, culture, history. He's helping push me…

Was never sexually abused as a child. Was raped as an adult, but never as a child. Emotionally abused, physically abused, but never sexually. I am genuinely attracted to him. He is a very good looking man- most people also estimate him to be about 26 when they see him. There's no secret agenda. In fact, if you're hinting…

I only mention it because an above poster asked if he was old enough to be my dad. I don't doubt the relationship at all- he's been a stalwart friend to me for years and means the world to me. I trust him above all other men and for someone with my history that's a big thing. I just worry that reactions will be less than…

He's 33. So if he were a very messed up 12 year old, he could technically be my parent. We're very similar, culturally and interest-wise, and have been very close for quite a while. My main worry about it isn't me thinking he's too old for me- it's the reaction we will eventually get from our parents and families.

Reread what I said- I'm most certainly NOT working out on Yom Kippur, however, I'm doing a mini-fast leading up to it for personal religious reasons.

It's less about using lack of food as a soul purifying mechanism and more thinking less about the actual act of eating. Shaping my life, my thought, around food and myself as a negative thing, as opposed to using my time and my thoughts for other actions. I'm drinking plenty of calories but this week is a reflection time…

I have a lot of **** going on, and had a looooong discussion with my Rabbi.... I'm going no solid food (shakes and such are okay) for a week due to just my life right now. I need a lot of reflection and I can't have that during this holy week if I am concerning myself more with what I'm taking than what I'm giving to the…

You... you do realize I'm choosing to fast, right?

Popping in here for a sec- I know OP irl, and she is serious... she's just young and new at this. Cut her a little slack, k?

Going to chime in here because I have far more experience than anyone would like with miscarriage and child loss- I've lost several pregnancies as well as a preterm daughter. YOU ARE NOT ALONE You need to take care of you. That's #1. See a doctor. Therapy is honestly what has saved my life. Walking helps too. You don't…

I'm 5'2. When I danced, my lowest weight was 85lbs. When I was fat, my highest was 176lbs. Now, I'm 148lbs. So I literally doubled my weight at my largest.

Right. But if I'd wanted a fitbit zip, I'd've paid $50 less for one. The benefit of the flex is that as it is on my wrist, I never forget it. Putting it in my pocket (when I have one, which is rare) completely negates the purpose.
-
I bought a flex because it lives on my wrist, so I don't forget it places. Plus it won't fit in my pockets when I'm even wearing something with pockets.

Etsy has only really chunky ones/tacky looking :/ Do you think washi tape would work?

I am COVERED in stretch marks. Have been since I hit puberty. At my lowest weight, 5'2 and 85lbs, I had stretch marks. At my highest weight, 178lbs, I had them. 80% of women have them. It's totally normal :)

I'm on three different meds that "should" be making me gain weight- an antidepressant (SNRI), a benzo and birth control. I've lost nearly 30lbs in 3 months. Your mental health needs to come first. Speaking as someone with a serious mental health condition (CPTSD) it is SO MUCH EASIER to lose weight when I care about…

130 but muscled. If not working on my lifts, I'd aim for 120

The great thing is that my yoga class is directly after my lifting time, so I'll get the restorative benefit and the post-lifting stretch in one!

1. Ok, I'm absolutely going to be adding to my calories on lifting days. Might just eat back what MFP says I burned lifting (I know it overeastimates, which is the goal here). Hopefully the exhaustion will make me sleep better 2. Well, I'm a skirt kind of girl... so that's okay. Actually part of why I didn't notice I'd…

I've got a low-impact (graded) yoga class right after my lift time purposely so I can force myself through the stretching. I'm hoping it will make a difference for me. I'm fairly flexible and I'm not weak (can overhead the bar, so that's something?) but the soreness could be an issue as I live on the third floor in an…

Hi I'm made of health issues, which actually inspired me to lose! I have horrible asthma that is barely controlled on a daily basis with a twice daily inhaler plus rescue inhaler, a bum colon (IBS for the win), and heavily medicated PTSD I'm losing so the asthma and IBS are better under control (please please please... the…

My TDEE - 20% is lower than my BMR :( BMR is currently 1391, TDEE is 1669 according to the Mifflin-St Jeor And what do you do with foam rollers? I've wondered this for ages...

:( I don't have a tub, but I might do the potassium supplements. How much does post-workout stretching help?
-
Eating clean also helps out my IBS, though, so I think I'll stick to it. Processed stuff makes me break out and kills my colon. Should I just eat back the calories burned lifting, then? I absolutely intend to stick to proper form- the last thing I want is to injure myself. It's part of why I'm working with a certified…

Already on the multivitamin and fish oil, plus a B12 because I run a deficit even with the multi. Considering eating back my lifting calories and calling it a day. Would that work? I also have my (super low impact) yoga class right after I intend to lift- stretching after lifting is supposed to help with gains and to…

I've had my rescue inhaler since I was 6... plus a twice daily prescription one. Only thing that has helped is strengthening my core and chest (Teddy Roosevelt style- check out his battle with asthma for some crazy inspiring stuff) and losing weight.

1. Yayyyyy recalculating!!!! Booooo fewer calories :( 2. I'm going to be working with a trainer and he has a program set up. Bit scared but the weekday program (3x a week) is not too intense as I have yoga afterwards and stretching apparently maximizes gains? 3. That sounds AMAZING. I've said it before on these forums, but…
