Bent over dumbbell rows comes to mind. Might have to get heavier weights.

Google recipes for kids that hide the veggies. No insult intended, it may work, and keep trying. Also, here is a link to help with losing a relatively small amount of weight: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/737101-relatively-light-people-trying-to-get-leaner?page=2%2525252523posts-19474154 Good Luck.

I don't know anything about low carb, but I play badminton twice a week. I have been doing that over 3 years and only in the last 5 months have I lost weight. Counting my calories was the only difference.

Nice!!!! Lol!!

Buy a food scale and weigh every thing you eat. If you want specific advice, you might want to open your food diary.

I have struggled most of my adult life with my weight. I have even used calorie counting sites in the past that didn't last. Now I'm commited to this and it is working. It is a lot about your mindset. Read all the stickies at the beginning of the getting started forum over and over. Get a food scale, eat back 1/2 to 3/4 of…

I don't have bad cravings, but I do like to snack in the evenings while watching tv. I plan this out by saving a certain amount of calories and snacking on popcorn(my favorite). I don't try to completely stop what I want to do, I just modify and incorporate it into my plan. I hope this helps.

On MFP you are supposed to eat your exercise calories. That being said, I eat only half my exercise calories back as they are usually over estimated. Make sure you weigh and measure all that you eat. Good Luck.

I LOVE this!!!!

It depends on what you want, but for protein you have nuts, tuna salad, deli meat and cheese. Low cal would be veggies, popcorn. High cal would be dried fruit. You can prep and bag up stuff at night and grab it in the morning. I'm sure there are many more ideas. Good luck!

I know that I snack in the evenings while watching tv, so I set aside 150-200 calories and eat lightly salted popcorn. Works for me.

No expert here, but you calculated your TDEE so to go with that minus 20%, go to goals and then custom and manually put in your calories. Then do not eat your exercise calories back, just stick with your original goal. You might want to cut that rate of loss back to half a pound a week as you don't have much to lose and…

I wanted to mention you look much younger now, too! Congratulations!

MFP is set up for you to eat your exercise calories back. Because you are set to sedentary and 2 lbs a week, that is even more important. I would recommend eating at least half your exercise calories back as they are usually over estimates. That IS fast weight loss but it is the beginning and will slow down. Please read…

I've been on mfp about 4 months now, but started out about where you are and we're almost the same age. Feel free to add me, also.

I am also a SAHM, but my kids are quite a bit older. I LOVE to snack in the evenings while watching tv. What I do is leave myself some calories just for this. Popcorn is one of my favorite things and I make sure it fits into my calories. You're right, carrots just don't fit the bill. I don't deny myself my snacking, I make…

I would set it to lightly active and see what happens for a few weeks. It can't hurt at the beginning. If you lose too fast you can always manually up your calories gradually. (Losing too fast can effect muscle mass, etc. But at the beginning, if you have a high level of body fat, it is less harmful)
