How did you get to the point where you run 20 miles? OMG...Couch 2 5K?

It's the little things for me...such as on your newsfeed (kinda like facebook, where you view what your friends here have to say, how many calories they burned today,e tc) after I log my food for the day, I get to share with my friends that I completed my diary. For many trying to eat better and lose weight, journaling is…

Honestly, this was the initial thing that impressed me most about MFP. The database is sooooooo complete. WW has some type of partnership with Smart Ones....so guess what....Lean Cuisine meals aren't in their database! Retarded! Also, what can beat free? Nothing! And if I see another Jennifer Hudson endorsement, I'm gonna…

Funny...I just read another thread regarding this! I'm gonna try it!!

1) I discovered Pinterest. 2) I cooked my hubby an egg white omelette. And he liked it. 3) I got awesome patients tonight.

I think as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle this shouldn't be a problem. Usually weight gain comes from having children, marriage, college (freshman 15), and life's ups and downs in general. Learn to cope, eat, and live...and remember that what we are doing here on MFP is not a LIFESTAGE, it's a LIFESTYLE. Had I…

Funny. I have been know to fill up a buggy full of items at VictoriasSecret.com or Maccosmetics.com. I will total up the price, and even go to retailmenot.com to find coupon codes. I then strategically try to figure out how much overtime I would have to work to pay for it all. LOL. And to think I thought I was the only…

Hot damn! You go girl!!

I'm sorry..I missed when you said you had a small bone structure. 130 may work out for you just fine. You have any pictures?
-
I don't know your bone structure, but 130 at 5'10" seems twiggy to me. I'm 5'9" and in college I was 159 lbs. I was a brick house. I had just finished with a high school varsity softball career, and was quite muscular. Before softball, I was 129 lbs....and looking back, I don't want to be that thin ever again. I want to…

bump for more Alabamians....and an update from the originals. :)

Well, at least stretchmarks on white women are less apparent. My stretchmarks look more like beige tiger stripes on a mocha background. Just awful. I've resorted to a tummy tuck being my only hope at ever wearing a 2 piece again.

Will crystal meth help my ADHD? Or should I stick to my Vyvanse? (SARCASM)

Don't be so hard on yourself! It took me a MONTH to lose 3 lbs!
-
@ Ashlea82...I love the fact that you're a mom of 2 (like myself) and that you have lost 19 kg (WTG) and the fact that your hair is CURLY. :)

ORANGE BUTT LEAKAGE!!! BWAHAHAHAHAAA!!! I have some stories about that stuff (Xenical) before the OTC version came out. Holy Hannah. I almost peed a little laughing when u said that.

I mentioned something about patients in my post. I've worked ER/Critical Care as a nurse for 12 years. And I don't trust ALL physicians. Some are very commercial minded. I have had a situation with my own husband where if I didn't advocate for his APPROPRIATE treatment, he could have died around Christmas. The only…

Oh....and another thing....I have nurse friends who took Phentermine. I, myself, have tried it. It's not heart valve friendly. Also, make sure you know your target heart rate. Exercise while on Phentermine, but make sure you keep a close check on your heart rate. With heart rates that far exceed your target, your…

Honestly, I could care less what others did to lose weight. What I DON'T want to see is you being a patient in my unit because you are morbidly obese and did NOTHING about your weight issue, so it led to diabetes, cardiomyopathies, hypertension, pressure sores, etc. To each his own, your mileage may vary, what's good for…

I do this sometimes. Usually when I am PMSing. And I'm no basketcase. Just.....human, I guess..... *shrugs* lol
-
I'm not judging or telling anyone what to do....but I will say this: Whatever you do to lose the weight is what you will have to KEEP doing in order to keep it off. If you wouldn't do it for a lifetime, perhaps you shouldn't do it at all. :)

OMG!!! I went back and added sodium as a nutrient that I wanted to track....GEEZ! I should look (and taste) like a potato chip! o_O
-
Avoiding processed foods is actually a new goal of mine. That stuff is LOADED with sodium! It was only in the last couple of weeks that I realized just how MUCH sodium is in processed foods! I am trying to incorporate more whole foods into our diet. I thoroughly enjoy stir frys with fresh veggies. Those refined sugars are…

The goal I have was generated by MFP. I often wondered if I was either getting too few calories for a net goal, or whether I shouldn't be eating all of my exercise calories back.
-
I am currently 5'8, 209.8 lbs. I drink water like a camel hump. If my meal times looked skewed, it's because I work 12 hour nights 3 nights a week (I'm a critical care nurse). I snack throughout my shift, so that's why most of my journaling is very snack heavy. I tend to eat those said snacks every three hours or so. You…

If 1200 calories is your NET goal, then nothing says you have to eat ONLY 1200 calories. If you are exercising, you can have more than 1200 calories. If you want to eat more, then walk an hour or so....put some calories back into your NET, and eat those too.
