Definitely the push ups in level 1! And ya know what kills me? As soon as you get started doing pushups, she starts holding a conversation. It always makes me feel like she is forgetting we are on the floor sweating and farting!!

I started Monday! Today I rested, but did an hour of cardio on the elliptical. Is anyone else giving themselves resting days? Or are you just burning straight through? Monday was rough. I couldn't do pushups to save my life. But the second day did get better. And I felt GREAT after both workouts. On level 1 of course. I…

Wow. You inspire me. Me and my bff are at work trying to buy this dvd online because we saw your pictures. Question (and anyone else who has done the DVD can answer): Would you suggest this DVD if you are NOT in shape? I heard it was a challenge for people that are IN shape, let alone those that aren't.

That one sounds lovely. Does it come in pink or purple? Ahhhh...I'm such a girl...lol....thanks, MoDear!

Shin splints are the devil. I know from experience. Toe taps are good for those. Whenever you are sitting at the desk, or any chair, tap your toe on the floor with your heel planted out to the left, center, and right on both feet. This helps strengthen the muscles that PREVENT shin splints. I'm flat footed, so I have to…

I did W1D2 today....yesterday I did W1D1. I obviously need new shoes. The "appropriate" motion control running shoes (Brooks Ariel 7) for heavy runners that I bought back in 08 are just too heavy and clunky. I am going to a specialy running shoe store 1.5 hrs away from my house to buy shoes....this store does a video gait…

I ran yesterday in the rain. It was AWESOME. Now, if the sidewalks are slippery, and you have poor coordination, just do it tomorrow....you may have no choice. I did day 2 a day early (today)....because I an about to work two back to back 12 hour night shifts tonight and tomorrow night...and to run between the two of…

Hee hee. :) It's all good, Martinh. It's alllll good. :) That made me laugh, literally. :))

I started yesterday! Did W1D2 today. Feel free to friend me!

Wait a minute, Katya. Pump your brakes. I just read each and every one of your VISIBLE posts. I see why the man is angry/insecure. You give GOOD REASON for him to be....and I'm a woman with no need to trust you. But when you post things about hooking up on MFP, yet you get defensive because someone asks for you to give him…

Ba. Bahahaha. Bwahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!...ohhh...I'm weak...LOLOLOL....crying even.....I'm sorry...I know it's a serious situation, but I feel like a defense attorney who just found out their client was, errr, hiding a few facts....again...sorry for laughing (pffftt)

Umm...rawrrrr. That was a little snippy. I don't think the poster was being judgmental...just exploring options as to why your s/o might be acting that way. You said it yourself...trust is the issue. So...does he give you the benefit of the doubt to behave yourself regardless of your friends list? And yes...it is safe to…

My net goal ended up being 1290 according to MFP calculations. I've only been on it for a week, but I've already had a 3 lb weight loss. However, I EAT my exercise calories, and then about 100-150 more (not intentionally..mainly because I keep drinking the salsa...lol). I have mine set at 2 lbs/wk as well, and initially I…

Funny! I was just posting about my very first day on C25K! It's a real treat to read. Lol. I will certainly add you as a friend. I also have a bridesmaid dress to put on (in a size 16..booo) but I hope to have to get it altered to a smaller size by the time I pick it up! The wedding is on October 22nd. You pay 40 a month…

Are you sure you are fully emptying your bladder when you go to the potty (loo)? Sometimes if you have a bladder infection, also, this can make you feel like you are going often, in small amounts, about twenty times a day. Diabetes is certainly a possibility...even if it is prediabetes. Or...you may have INCREDIBLY…

I won't lie...I get on the scale DAILY. I know...bad habit. And my weight fluctuates by the hour. (Don't ask me how I know this) So, to modify my behavior, I am starting a No Scale Challenge for myself....I am going to start with no getting on the scale for two weeks. That may not seem like a long time for many, but for…

WOWWW! You go, boy! Looking good!

I just can't do grits without cheese. I'll take the recipe with cheese in it. :)

And I reiterate...don't be OCD about your calorie count...the fact that you are journaling what you are eating is a step in the right direction. SOME of us are prone to failure every now and then...call it being HUMAN. However, you will receive advice from a few rather militaristic folks here who are from the NO PAIN NO…

Brendalyne, YOU in particular are my inspiration for this run! I tell ya...you're like superwoman! I wanna be like you one day! :flowerforyou:

Week 1, Day 1. OMG. Am I ever gonna be able to do this? So after the WARM UP WALK (don't laugh) my calves began to tighten. Scary. Run 1- Not too bad, D-Diva. You can do this. Walk 1 - Nice break. Look at the birdies. What a nice breeze. Run 2 - Whew. Sweating a little. Calves...don't fail me now. Walk 2 - Thank you, baby…

No. I wouldn't....each day is a new day....if you punish yourself the rest of the week for something that happened (past tense) already, then you will have an even harder time sticking to your plan because you will feel like you are depriving yourself. Yesterday is water under the bridge...start fresh today! Sometimes your…

Ok, ok, ok......sigh....I've been contemplating RE-REstarting C25K...no better day than tomorrow, I spose. :) I have started C25K about seven times. I really want it to stick this time, but I have two problems. 1) Committment. 2) Shin splints. I would have to say that the second problem is far more daunting than the first.…

I don't, but my LORD that sounds good. My hubby put shrimp and crawfish in his grits the other day. Hammercy.

Excellent post! I was just wondering the same thing.

I grew up in Atlanta, but I've lived in Dothan for 14 years...I graduated from Auburn as well as a couple of you! WDE! That was a good game today, considering we are in the rebuilding phase. Brace yourselves for this deluge of rain we're about to get from Tropical Storm Lee. Happy Labor Day, ya'll!

I'm the same way...I work night shift, so on nights when I'm off, I eat out of boredom. I will usually resort to a bowl of Special K. Cereal seems to accomplish two things: carbs make me sleepy for some reason, so if I fall asleep, at least the last thing I ate was not a BAD snack. Just redirect the types of snacks you…

Oh...and by the way, I'm 5'8, 208 lbs. My goal weight is 175. I look sickly anywhere near 160, and having my high school body is not a realistic OR desired goal (I was skinny). So if you're looking for a buddy with similar stats, there they are! MFP currently has me at a net of 1290 (yikes) for a 2 lb/week weight loss goal.
