  • Welcome back!
  • We went last week. It was AWESOME.
  • He is a good guy. We've been married for almost 15 years. I'm glad to hear that your ex is your ex.:drinker: I think we should all spend some time doing something that we love to do even if that means time spent apart from our spouses or mates. I truly believe "absence makes the heart grow fonder."
  • 6.5 is nothing to be ashamed of... Great job today!
  • Way to go!
  • Good afternoon:flowerforyou: No running for me today. I biked 2 miles and burned a whopping 129 calories. Boy do I LOVE running! Enjoy the day -Kechie.
  • Absolutely! Two years ago, I started out as a slow jiggly jogger too. Keep at it. Consistency will get you where you want to be. Check in here daily for motivation and to let us know what you're up to. :flowerforyou:
  • Congratulations on your half marathon goal. I ran one last November and it is now my favorite race distance. As far as the 10 miles, try to relax and enjoy them. 1. Make sure you eat enough for fuel. I usually eat a good dinner the night before and I eat at least an hour or two before I head out that morning. 2. Hyrdration…
  • I heard some people factor how the running is into choosing a new home.
  • Happy Friday :flowerforyou: I ran for 30 minutes today. Enjoy the day -Kechie.

  • I vote for option 4. It is perfect with that dress b/c it compliments the dress. Plus, with your long locks, you can definitely work option 4.:flowerforyou:

  • Good morning:flowerforyou: I ran 5K or 3.2 miles this morning. Enjoy the day -Kechie.
  • Thanks and thanks for sharing your story Leash! Yup! I too have fallen.:embarassed: However, no one was around. Of course, I run in my neighborhood so maybe someone was looking out of their window. :noway:
  • I agree with JLBay too.:flowerforyou: Definitely related to your breathing... I would also like to add that you may be running too fast. Try slowing your pace down. If a slower pace doesn't help, definitely walk until the pain subsides. Don't give up. You can do it.:drinker:
  • On Mother's Day, enjoy your special day.:flowerforyou: I ran 6 miles this morning. -Kechie. Mother's Day Blog - www.thetoyladyruns.blogspot.com
  • Are the kids old enough to go for a long walk? When I'm desperate to workout, I take my 7 year old on a 2 mile walk/run. We walk 2 minutes. Then, run 2 minutes. When she was in a stroller, I'd power walk for 20-30 minutes. If the kids can ride bikes, have them ride and you run with them.

  • Congratulations on your goal of running a marathon.:flowerforyou: Your "long" runs should definitely be run at a comfortable pace. If you were running with a friend, you guys should be able to chat. The "long" runs build up your endurance by getting you used to be on your feet for extended periods of time. "Long" runs…
  • Good for you!(running 8 minutes straight) Boo(shin splints) When I was younger I always stopped running b/c of shin splints. When I started running again much later in my life, I thought I would be plagued again. Not at all! I've heard that the wrong shoes are usually the culprits. If you haven't been fitted at a running…
  • Have fun at your 5K tomorrow Becky! I just love going to races.
  • Have fun on your long run. I'll be out there too. I haven't decided how far I'll go yet.
  • Happy Friday Runners:flowerforyou: I was scheduled for an easy paced 5K this morning. Unfortunately, I waited until 10 am to start. The heat was brutal. I used to get up and run in the dark. Lately, I just can't do it. After this mornings heat, I'll definitely reconsider. It has been a whole hour and my skin is still hot…
  • Hi there! Sounds like you got the racing bug. It is fun. Isn't it? 5 days sounds like a lot. Runner's World has an awesome program called FIRST. • Hi Alf! You look amazing! I'm almost 40 and am new to running. A couple of my runner friends are 45 and up. Both of them are better runners than me. Here's what I've heard: Starting out running/walking is the best way to avoid hurting yourself. Stretch after runs to help with stiffness. Make sure you get…
