I am also a meal robot (same thing day in/day out). Hiwever studies have shown that eating the same thing every day (essentially improving portion control) is one aspect of successful weight loss (but I do have haters that find it weird!) lol

I am the classic pear shape. I feel ya. I usually run or lift weights, but I've started to add the stair machine to my routine. That seems to have helped targeting some of my saddlebags and butt fat (tho I've noticed my midsection is now flabbier). I hope that with more weight loss I'll even out haha

I'm in the same situation- I can literally feel my abs thru the pudge, but I think I'm still 15-20 lbs from finally finally losing that bulge!!! :P

I would love more friends who log daily! Feel fee to add! :)

Feel free t o add me as well! Good for you for getting back on track! As you already seem to know, eating healthy and exercising is a kind of cha cha dance...two steps forwards, one step back....but as long as you pick yourself up and get back on track more often than not, you'll see positive progress! :)

Feel free to friend! I love active MFP-ers!

Count me in! Those last 15 lbs are being very stubborn!!!

I feel sick after long runs (for me after 6 mi) if I'm 1) dehydrated to start (too much coffee, not enough water), 2) drank alcohol the day before (again, I think, causing me to be dehydrated, 3) low on salt (trying to go non-processed and cut out too much salt too quickly, 4( eating banana for a snack 1 hr before run (I…

I'm also close to entering maintenance and would love new friends!

I know it's irrational, but I still hate hate hate working out in a room of people. I feel like they're always talking about me (even though I KNOW that's a silly thought and everyone is focused on their own workout). I joined a 24 hour gym and started going at 6am. But even that got way too crowded, especially around the…

There are several other threads about this topic, if you do a search, but I am training for my 1st comp! :)

My first thought upon seeing a fat person run is "good for them". My first thought upon seeing a fit person run is "damn. they look good. I hope I look that good one day" haha. What do you think about when you see a heavy person run? Have fun running! And if your embarassment detracts from your enjoyment of the workout,…

Yes and No. I've lost 100 lbs, so I feel I have some valid input here, lol. When I lost the 1st 30 lbs I was feeling fantastic (even though I was still quite obese). It's the first time in my whole life I had lost weight and I felt a lot more confident and proud of myself. I was using an online dating website daily and…

27, never married, no kids, happy putting myself #1 and focusing on Me Me Me. But married people don't like to hear that, so I just say, "not yet!" when they people ask if I'm married or have kids. Which is often, lol. I'm a grad student and I switch to different departments every few weeks. That is always one of the first…

Hi! I'm a fellow depression/anxiety sufferer. Working on my self-esteem, eating habits, sleep and exercise habits, and self-introspection to try to be happier and healthier. I also have a lot of anger/bitterness regarding 2 years of bizarre, unrelenting shoulder pain, though it seems to have stabilized to a daily level of…

Simple solution- don't run. :) I say this as someone who hates hates hates biking. I told myself I "had" to do it to get more quad definition and each session was torture. I switched to squats and it is So. Much. Better! - If you're looking for high impact cardio, would zumba or Turbokick or a stationary bike or the…

This is so interesting! I give myself 250 cals for an hour strength workout (that includes a lot of rests, so probably 20 minutes of actual lifting). That said- I don't usually lose weight after weight lifting days (like I do w running). However, I found if I didn't give myself a generous buffer, I was repeatedly starving…

To all my new friends- howdy! Otherwise- http://youtu.be/Q-Q3gd6S1as

For what it's worth (I just started branching out from cardio myself) I have four workouts- long run, arm day, short run, leg day, rest day. I have a weight lifting card that I write down the machine and number of reps that I do. I got it from the PF front desk- it's yellow (I guess they use it for orientation, but I find…

I'm entering my first "bikini" division this April! :D

I'm also interested in trying to get ready for a bikini comp...feel free to friend! :)

I am also hoping to do one in 2015. Feel free to friend! :)

For my first comp, I'm just looking to enter and not get laughed off stage, haha! I think six months is a realistic time frame, but if I'm not ready, you can feel free to say I told you so! :)

10 lb lost by Xmas sounds ideal. I'm in!

One word: Goodwill. Shirts are $3.50. Pants are $4.50 (usually). $6 if you're feeling fancy. I can buy three new pairs or pants and three tops for the cost of one pair of jeans from Walmart or even a consignment shop (where I thought I was getting a deal for $8 pants and $8 tops). I've been slowly increasing my wardrobe as…
