  • Very likely water retention because of eating out on holiday so there is higher sodium. Once you get back to a regular eating schedule you can flush water and toxins very quickly. It's not usually fat or muscle :)
  • Read Nothing :( Rereading Through the Looking Glass if that counts! Play Pokemon X, HabitRPG (does that even count?) Listen Anything! Watch Lego Movie, Lego Batman Movie! So cute Trying to find more movies to watch because the recent movies haven't been much fun for me :(
  • I see this topic has been inactive but has anybody else found any new exercises to do for tummy region that doesn't stress the back? I also have a bit of a swayed lumbar region >_<;
  • Thanks for the link! I live in a small space so I cannot even lie down properly; this video was really great I'm going to try it right now

  • +1!! Definitely don't be a "practice" person unless you've seen your friend's style and her work on practice skins! The center of your body changes the most with big weight loss, but sagging skin could be something you may need to also think about (it depends on each person's level of collagen and your age though)
  • I have been wondering this too! Does the sugar in milk also come with fiber? I try not to think too much on my fruit sugars but I have milk in coffee (though recently I've been switching to black only) and was wondering if that could also lead to blood sugar spikes
  • Most recently my mom bought some from Russia when she went to Mongolia, (also bought 100% chocolate bar for me!) but I recall that you can buy regular very dark chocolate at grocery stores, too. It is probably less common because fewer people eat it. If you have high end chocolatiers in your area/country they may stock it,…
  • I slowly enjoy a piece of 90% cocoa chocolate. The aroma of the chocolate is really good and it's around 56cal a piece. The bitterness helps stop you from choking down too many too quickly!
  • If you are only just beginning recovery, your appetite is going to go MAD! Kati Morton on youtube has a video (she's an ED therapist) about this, and honestly you should give a a couple weeks before your body is able to adjust. If it really seems to be getting out of control, talk to your therapist ASAP! Or work with your…
  • I would love to enroll! I am a Hufflepuff :) But if the houses are uneven my second is Ravenclaw :D
  • You can select the ignore option for users who seem to consistently bash. I personally find some of the attitudes on this website to be overly aggressive or with a sense of superiority. Just don't reply to them if they are being sarcastic to you!
  • +1! I personally don't eat breakfast other than a coffee unless somebody I'm with wants to grab breakfast. I find that eating sort of triggers a hunger wave and I tend to actually eat more throughout the day than if I do not eat so early! I've lost a lot of weight after I stopped sticking to "traditional meal times" and…
  • Is there a particular sweet you crave? You could try a lower calorie substitute. For example, I like really dark chocolate (90%+) which is nice and also requires you to eat more slowly. If you crave something like ice cream, you could try sorbet or frozen grapes or frozen mashed banana. They still have sugar, but being…
  • The muscle vs fat thing would be if you were gaining weight but losing sizes ;) Since your meal and exercise plans were given to you by your doctor, I'd say you should follow it for at least a month and then see if your body gets back to a healthy state and check back in with your doctor :D Good luck!
  • If you were restricting it is quite possible your body is currently repairing internal damage and so you are burning more calories than you normally would in a normal lifestyle. Give it some more time and see if the weight loss slows down and you start building muscle :) Good job on recovering! The hypermetabolism often…
  • I don't eat dry fruit. Blood sugar really does affect me quite greatly, but I don't understand it too much :P I just sometimes become extremely shaky and dizzy, which I think is a blood sugar drop. Berries are very expensive here and I don't have refrigeration (really blows!) Normally I eat apples, but you are right, they…
  • Coffee! I must have coffee! Now I am trying to switch to black Americano, but some places don't have coffee that tastes good so it depends on the luck haha. If it is bad, then I have to add a creamer, but at least I don't like sugar! I noticed that cappu have a lot of carbs and sugar from the milk, which is why I am…
  • Hi, I was searching the forums for a similar question. I was also wondering about the sugar in fruit because my sugar is consistently over, and saw the reply about carbohydrates. My carbohydrates are frequently over the limit too, so do the natural carbohydrates (such as fruit and vegetables) also are negatively affecting…
  • If you are consistently obsessed with the same foods, it is possible you have a nutrition deficiency I think. I'm a tad bit taller and a tad bit heavier than you (well, more than a tad) and I think when you get closer to a maintenance weight, it becomes more important to look at balanced nutrition than only calories…
  • Me too. My BMI is 19 and body fat is 29 or so. If you can, find out if it is subcutaneous or internal fat, because internal fat is much more damaging (which, last I checked a couple years ago, is what mine is) I'm not sure what to do about it either :/
  • Personally I find it easier to manage individual meals rather than try to think of the entire day's worth of food quantity and nutrition things. Maybe try figuring out a few meals that have the proportions you like (veg to fruit to protein etc.) and then slowly start swapping out different foods to add variety? I tend to…
  • Maybe you can try different spices and food pairings. Where did you grow up? Maybe creating healthy versions of the food you grew up with would be easier. I like to eat eggs, pasta, breakfast shop foods, steamed bread, salad, apples, oup noodles, rice, bento (but hard to find ones not too salty!), jujube, orange, banana,…
  • Hi, I live in Taiwan too :) I love all the food here! It could be that the way you are preparing the foods isn't the way you like them. There is such a huge variety I'm sure you can find something you like. Personally I am a vegetarian and I like to try as many new foods as possible, and from different places prepare…
  • This is my fourth of fifth account on MFP because I ran into the exact same problem as you. I get insanely paranoid about the numbers and the entire process/idea of eating and food becomes very disordered! I don't know about the inch-loss bit, but my current method this time around is to approximate the foods (many of the…
  • Rather than trying to do an overhaul, I think it is more sustainable to make tiny changes. Processed foods will not make you feel as full or satisfied if you simply cut back on portions. Example: If you want to cut down on fizzy drinks, drink a cup of water before each cup of sugary drink Then you can add a small weekly…
  • I remember the original cauliflower crust/bread was due to the inventor having dietary needs (probably gluten-intolerant) and it's not a bad way to cut calories. It doesn't make you better or worse than anybody else. In any case, agree with this thread. There is no "magic" diet since everybody has different needs, and…
  • I've had eight sittings I think, and it's my first tattoo. It is a traditional phoenix that goes on my side from left scapula over ribs down to mid-thigh. My artist is in the USA but is coming back in June so four more sessions and it will be finished!
