I prefer Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey protein. They have a ton of flavors, and it's not outrageously priced. I buy it from Bodybuilding.com, it's like $30 for 2 lbs. The nutrition profile is pretty good, too. 24g for around 120 +/- kcals, depending on the flavor, and low carb, in general.

Hi, my name is Frances. I've been overweight pretty much all my life. I tried a lot of dieting over the years, sometimes with my mom, sometimes on my own, or alongside friends, but I could never hit the weight loss goals I wanted, and would eventually become demotivated and gain any loss back, and then some. In July 2014,…

Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt is sugar free and fat free, 80 calories, and I think 12g protein. I like it, you can get it in bulk at like costco or same club, or they have it at Walmart too, I believe.

Wow, you look great!

Great job, and hitting that goal in only 4 weeks is really an accomplishment. And you can only get better!

I go to a few different stores. My fave is Burlington Coat Factory. I usually find a great selection of stuff there. I also hit up Bealls Outlets in my area. There's a couple of small chain stores in my area with both misses and plus sizes, called Cato's and Dots. Dots also has an online store. Target has a big plus size…

Couldn't make it to the gym today, so I borrowed my brother in law's barbell set. its dinky, but with me being so much of a beginner, it worked ok for now. squats, deadlift and overhead press, oh my. lol. actually enjoyed it tho! won't be able to use it much longer tho, as it only goes to 60lbs. c'est la vie. Happy lifting!

Ripped recipes.com was a site I found that has a ton of recipes on it, and you can search by calorie amount, or the amount of protein/carbs/fat in the recipe. And there are some good mug recipes too.

I hear you, I deal with cravings at times too. I've found balanced meals help. I am on the shirataki noodle train, too. They're amazing. There's a post earlier with links to an Mfper who is the shirataki when, Lol. I also drink water when I feel the cravings, and if they don't go away, I'll eat a cucumber with just a…

I have a lot to lose too. I started at 425, I'm now at 417, and working towards a goal weight of 200lbs. This is my second time round, and I'm hoping using all the tools on this site, including the forums will help keep me motivated to keep going. I'll add you, too.

I can definitely use all the motivation I can get. I'm trying to get back into a routine of better eating and working out after a more than 1 yr hiatus. I have 200+ to lose, so will need help, for sure.

Love this approach. Always would be in the mindset that if I didn't have time for a full workout, then I would take a rest day, and get it in tomorrow. Problem is I would end up with like 3-4 "rest" days in a row. This is great advice.
