Hey! I grew up in a South Side Suburb and now live in Bloomington-Normal. Add me if you wish! Danielle

I love mine too even though I have an old model that doesn't come apart for the dishwasher! I love it for salmon as it sears it to crisp on both sides and cooks it perfectly! Yum

Thanks everyone! It really did come down to realizing that food was controlling my life! I AM back in control! Good luck everyone! Danielle

Sounds like you are doing great! Congratulations and thanks! D.

I think the new WW plan is good. I used the old one years ago and was successful but didn't like how an ice cream sandwich and a banana were the same points. Gee, what was I going to eat. Now they are focusing more on fruits and vegetables. The best way to get the materials is to pay to attend one week (like $12) buy the…

I have Chalean Extreme and love that I can get in a good strength workout at home. I love that the exercises combine an upper and lower body move at the same time so that you get in a full body workout in a quicker time. It definitely makes me feel stronger and I recommend them to everyone! My mom even loved the so much…

I have the book "The Primal Blueprint" (and also the Primal Cookbook) by Mark Sisson. It isn't exactly the same as Paleo, but very similar. He also has a website www.marksdailyapple.com that has a forum that might be helpful for you. I'd love to say I'd join you, but it wasn't maintainable for me. I know the people there…

There must be something psychological about the 3 week mark! I can always go hard-core with eating well for three weeks and then I get bored and don't want to put in the effort anymore or get tired of feeling left out of what everyone else is doing! That is why I've done every diet imaginable! I follow one like a game for…

I add zuchini, peppers, and mushrooms to at least one meal a day to bulk it up. I buy a whole bunch of each, chop them up and keep them in the fridge. I love them roasted with a little olive oil and balsamic as a side dish or make them into veggie chili, add them to soups, eggs, rice, pasta sauce...everything I can think…

I have two... First for breakfast I mix 1/2 c cottage cheese and 1 carton Dannon yogurt in my Magic Bullet. I HATE Cottage Cheese but always wanted to be able to eat it for quick protein and when you blend it with the yogurt you can't taste it at all and no gross chunks!! I pour that on top of strawberries/blueberries for…

Thanks so much for all the great suggestions! I know what I'll be doing today! Hope no one else in the family wants to use the computer! D.

Do you have any way to swim? Either a pool at the gym or maybe one in your school district that they'd let you use after school?

Thanks so much for the replies! TOSHIETTE hit the nail on the head for me I think....I am stubbornly going down a path that isn't working. I will for two weeks try the eating back the calories and see what happens. I've tried going lower and that didn't help. I'm happy with my exercise routine of lifting heavy weights…

Happy to add you!

I can't tell you how much I worry about this subject! My kids are all different. One is not interested in eating at all and is quite thin, the other two love to eat and are thankfully quite active as well as having a tall father! I am the one with food issues and desperately don't want my daughter to go through the same…

I add it to everything from pizza to salads to wraps. I also will blend a good handful into smoothies for the whole family with yogurt, frozen berries, a spash of juice. When I put it into the Magic Bullet it blends it so well that you'd never know it was there! You can also chop it up and add it to meatloaf, pasta, even…

Thanks so much for the good info! Especially about where you kept your net calories. I'm having a hard time committing to eating more to get the scale FINALLY moving! I'm creeping up to the 1200 net and will surely be there this weekend as we are going out of town all weekend. Congratulations! Danielle

Hey Kayve, Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. I'm sorry that you are feeling so down but you should be proud of yourself that you are here and making yourself a priority! The best thing about exercise is that you can do it anywhere (and that you get to eat more!) Just throw on your ipod and start walking at a…

Hey! I'm from Illinois as well and fighting the same battle. I'll send you a request! Danielle

I'm guessing you've been on MarksDailyApple if you are into the Primal Blueprint lifestyle. The forum there is a really good place for questions like this. The people there are pretty hard core and while some take it to the extreme (imo) there is a lot of good info there!

I wouldn't count housework etc. especially if you took your normal activities such as this into account when you chose your activity level at the very beginning. This is why they give us the choices of sedentary to very active. Now if only we could make housework take care of itself!

Hi Sara, I sent you a request! Danielle

Good Luck! I just started yesterday! Feel free to add me as a friend! Danielle

I follow the advice of Bill Phillips, the Body-for-Life guy, and do cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and then don't eat for about an hour afterward. Supposedly this will help burn more fat. On Strength days I eat a carb/protein when I get up and then within an hour afterward I have a Myoplex protein…

REGISTER!! I had never ran more than a mile in my life when my husband started running full marathons. He was so sure that I could do it that I listened to him and signed up for a half marathon myself. I followed Hal Higdon's program and was able to do it!! I did walk a few minutes of it, but not much at all. I am slow but…

I agree with the Target vote. I love their Long & Lean Tanks as well as their champion sports bras. Walmart has some Danskin pants that I love too (black with pink band on top). I agree with these tech fabrics holding in the smell and will take a whole load of my husband's and my stuff and soak it in a tub filled with…

I tried the fettucine noodles and couldn't force them down. I did rinse, microwave, and pat dry as recommended but they still had the fishiness to them. I would compare the texture to calamari and didn't find it appetizing. I was SO disappointed to find them pretty terrible! For me it was a case of too good to be true!

My elliptical at home registers almost double the calories of my HRM! That was disappointing to discover!
