I love my Under Armor shirt as well. It's tight and holds in the warmth as well as wicking the sweat away. I'd wear a Long Sleeve T over it as you will warm up really quickly. If it is windy I also wear a headband over my ears and my Under Armor running gloves.

I was also wondering about when it hurts the most. If it is either first thing in the morning or right after you get up from sitting it may be an issue with Plantar Fascitis. I have seen a Podiatrist as I'm dealing with that as well. I am icing my heel for 10 minutes after exercise (roll on a frozen water bottle) and…

Thank you! I agree completely! I think sometimes people forget that the original poster is asking for help, not an opinion about something the people replying have never even tried/don't know all the facts about! I tried going Primal and felt great while doing it but it was too difficult for me personally to maintain. I…

Hello! I have both as well as Chalean Extreme and like them all. Turbo Fire is more kick boxy with HIIT training drills in it. More up to date on today's recommendations for exercise. If you like TJ you will like TF and might appreciate the change!

I like Fage mixed with 2T sugar free raspberry preserves. YUM

I agree that it would be rude (even though I'd be tempted too!) What about bringing a big bowl of berries or something healthy and limiting your pancakes to one or two. They aren't going to make or break you and you should enjoy your get-together! It would be worth it to avoid the discussions and making yourself and your…

I would suggest checking out www.marksdailyapple.com for a wealth of information!

I just finished week 2 of Hal's Novice 1 program. April 28 is my race date so 10 weeks to go! Good luck all!!

Hi there! I have had a bodybugg (twice now) and really liked it. My problem was with the website. Logging meals on it is tedious compared to MFP but I did it the first time and did have success. I just bought another in January and returned it after a few weeks because of trouble uploading my device's info to the website.…

My new favorite is Lemon Chicken in the Crock Pot. It calls for a pat of butter in the bottom (I have used it and not and the only difference is it seems to thicken the "sauce" a bit), 4 chicken breasts, the juice of 2 lemons, then sprinkle a packet of Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix. 6-8 hours on low and it's my…

Hi there! I loved the Les Mills classes at my old gym! I have to say the classes at the gym I go to now aren't near as good! For RPM I would use spinning. For Body Jam I would use Aerobics-high impact. For Pump I would do strength training/weight lifting. If you go to your exercise page and click the Database tab there is…

I am considering doing my 3m run outside today and it is 10 degrees. It is sunny at least so it may be worth it to avoid the boredom of the treadmill! I am impressed--you are braver than I!!

Mine came in the mail on Friday and I was pleased with how easy it was to link to MFP. I can't give a recommendation yet but can tell you the website is slow on shipping and I wish I'd have gotten mine from either Amazon or gone in to my local Best Buy because they sell them as well.

I'm signed up for one in June in Illinois. I can't wait! I'm running with a group of friends, two of which ran it last year. I'm running a half-marathon a few weeks before so that will help with my endurance but also trying to make sure I have the strength for the obstacles. FYI I was also given these suggestions...duct…

I list it under Cardio. My last session burned 422 calories in 55 minutes. I am 37 and weigh 160.

I also had testing done at the University in our town. I did the BodPod (loved the bathing suit and swim cap :)) but also did the test where I had to use the treadmill at different speeds while breathing through a tube basically. They also then had me wear a Bodybugg for a few days and used all the results to come up with…

I just found out that you can buy the Fitbit at Best Buy for the same price as online. $99 and ours at least has both color options as well! Then you don't have to wait for yours to ship!

I agree with the GoLean Crunch! I personally find even the Cascadian Farms granolas to be too sweet any more. I also like plain old Fiber One in mine for crunch. Enjoy!

I'm using Hal Higdon's Novice 1. I used this for my first and only Half three years ago as well. I like that he also has good information along with it to explain what you should be doing each day and why. www.halhigdon.com

Eggs, veggies, salsa in a high fiber wrap. Yogurt smoothie (yogurt, frozen berries, splash of OJ, handful of spinach). Yogurt parfait with homemade granola (way less sugar). Protein shake. PB&J sandwich. If you don't care for breakfast foods, eat a turkey wrap or something like that. Hope you find something that works for…

I do some of both inside and out...depending on weather. When I first started "learning" to run, I think the treadmill was a great tool to help me learn how to run at a steady pace. It was also easier on my knees. Living in Central Illinois, I have been lucky so far with the weather. (I ran outside on Friday in 53 degree…

I totally recognize your joke from a Rescue Heroes video my boys used to LOVE! That joke never gets old for them! I found the best underwear at Sam's Club of all places. It is by Nicole Miller and is a microfiber material. It doesn't ride up and is thin enough that it doesn't show panty lines like my other undies. I cannot…

I ran my first (and only) Half three years ago. When I started I could only run about a quarter of a mile without stopping. I quickly picked up my distance and was able to complete the race. I used Hal Higdon's Novice training schedule (www.halhigdon.com) and found that running on the treadmill to start was VERY helpful as…

I'm running my second half in April and will use Hal's Novice program again. I am doing the program with a friend this time around (doing the long runs and the race together) and am really looking forward it that part of it! Good luck!

I am signed up for my first Warrior Dash in June!! I am very excited as it sounds incredibly fun! I know I will come out muddy and wet but am doing it with some girl friends and am looking forward to it! I know for mine some of the obstacles include a wall climb (with a rope), crawling under barbed wire, jumping over fire,…

I have made LOTS of her recipes and my family has loved every single one of them!!

I absolutely agree with the Dove Dark Chocolate Promises. They are so silky on the tongue that they take a little while to eat and are just delicious. One or two completely satisfy!

I found it after a suggestion from gaeljo. I had a really hard time findng something in town until someone else recommended looking into a local university. I am going to Illinois State University as it is right in town here. I will be certain to bring a notepad if i can't get my husbands recorder by tomorrow! Thanks! Dani

I think I've found help! I contacted the University in my town and discovered that they have programs there open to the Community. They have one called Metabolism Matters which performs test such as Resting Metabolic Rate and Exercise Metabolic Testing to see what your true numbers are rather than going with the general…

All I can say is WOW!!! Thank you all so much for your input! I have been trying to find a Sports Dietician like my MFP Friend "gaeljo" suggested but still aren't having much luck. I am also going to look into the University in town and see what I can find out about their Exercise/Nutrition department and what they can…
