Hi. I'm Mandie. I did my first 5k as a total WALK and was grateful to finally cross the finish line. I'm preparing for another this fall and scared so here I am. I started C25K but I can't even get through one session o.o working it though!

This helps. But I think that it measures calories burned different depending on age and weight. I was wondering - what level does that match up to on the exercise programs? High Impact or Low? I would think it was high since there is so much extreme movement and jumping. Just curious :) Glad that I'm not the only one…

It makes perfect sense. You are given a calorie allowance to hit your weight loss. There is nothing to say "this many calories and this much exercise" - it only measures calories. SO - to meet your goals, you only need to meet your calorie limits. If you exercise, you allow yourself more calories!
