Today I want to: get my long walk in despite threat of rain stick to my meal plan Happy Friday!

I hear ya...turned 50 in January. Used MFP very successfully 2 years ago but have regained some back since then. What worked then for me no longer works due to menopause, doc told me to cut back another 200 or so cals from my daily intake, sigh. So here I am, but I'm starting to get used to this and could also use some…

I'm back again too after using MFP successfully 2 years ago. Just turned 50 and what worked then is no longer working now, so changing my strategy. Feel free to add me.

As someone above said, this is not uncommon. I've the same issues. What has helped me in the past, and is helping now, is looking at the diary as a weekly, rather than daily, set of numbers. If you are still having a good overall week, even with the overages for a given day plugged in, it helps to see the bigger picture…

Small world kayerandbiker! While most of my family are in the Bath area, my cousin lives in Blue Hill, I know all of Hancock County very well, we've been staying there every summer for decades, usually renting a dog-friendly house on Toddy Pond in Surry, or around Naskeag Point in Brooklin (our favorite spot). The kayaking…

Hello, I started using MFP two years ago with good results (esp. compared to WW), but it is amazing how quickly some sorrowful life events derailed me for awhile. Back now and trying to add more accountability for tracking and weighing in. Turned 50 last winter and losing wt is significantly more difficult than it was for…

Thanks! Although I'm mostly a lurker, I appreciate the advice I've picked up from reading the threads in this group.

In to see all the good suggestions here, thanks. I'm only near the end of Stage 1, but like it a lot so far. Sunchine - just wanted to say you look really lean and strong (and young!) in your profile pics, so I think what you've been doing is working. I understand about he hunger though, with the resistance training and am…

Thanks for the link! I had my legs further back on the ball than this, and rounded my back going forward (like in the NROLFW book). I'll try it this way next time, this looks harder.

clambert, good point: I ate all the time too, that's how I ended up here :ohwell: But after doing MFP for a couple of months, and just doing cardio for workouts, I was able to handle that level of hunger. Since starting lifting last week, however, I've been way more hungry than I ever was before just doing cardio. Anyhow,…

You deserve a lot of credit for working through that plateau for so long and not giving up, very inspiring, thank you! And you look great!:drinker:

Hi, New here too - I posted a new thread the other day and I just finished my first week of only lifting 2 days per week (Tues. and Thurs.), so I did 1A1 and 1B1 so far. After 1B1 this past Thurs. and I have 3 observations so far: 1) I am very, very hungry this week, every day, not just lifting days, but I am hitting my…

Thanks for the welcome, everyone, and the motivation. I'm located in the northern Catskills. Mother Nature played one more joke on us yesterday morning with 3 inches of snow and 23F temp. After another 23F temp this morning, it is finally warming up today. I should be back out in my gardens again this weekend. I have an…
