  • 5'2", started at 303 - down to 228 so very nearly half way to my 140 target...
  • Fit (with a certain amount of breathing in ;-) into a pair of UK Size 16 (US 12) jeans today for the first time in about 7 years. Pretty pleased with that!
  • Oops - put this in the wrong forum as it's not really a success story and now I can't delete it!
  • I can do before, during and during.. for an after you're going to need to wait another year or so! 300lbs+ 264lbs Week 4 Couch 2 5K 245lbs
  • I managed to stop binge eating by making myself log every single item as I ate it. Literally right there on my phone. Or even beforehand - so eat one cookie, log it. Eat another one, log it. Think about a third one, log it and then change my mind and go do something else or have a nice cup of tea :-) Also getting back into…
  • Completed Week 4 of Couch 2 5K (which means 2 x 3minute runs and 2 x 5 minute runs in a half hour with walks in between). I loved it and I was running at my target 12/13 minute miles... Bring on Week 5! Oh - and I had to go down a shoe size! I seem to have lost loads of weight on my feet...
  • Started at 303 and it's taken me two years to get to where I am now at 246. I got really, really stuck at 260ish for aaaaaages, but finally seem to be losing again. I always planned to do it slowly over 4 years (I lost 100lb in a year 7 years ago but put it all back on again when I changed jobs, couldn't exercise and had a…
  • Yup - I've lost 53lbs and feel exactly the same and most days struggle to see any difference in pics even though clothes sizes tell me I must be smaller :-( Kind of depressing when I still have 100 to go. I'm trying to just keep on going and hope I feel it at some point!
  • 53lbs so far with no exercise (well, I walk to work and for the school drop-off etc and do active stuff at weekends but no structured exercising). I do not like exercising at this weight. But when I get to 80 lbs lost (hopefully by the Spring) then I intend to get back into swimming and gym classes for the second 80lbs :-)
  • Started at 303, have lost 47lbs so far... my tips are track everything, drink water all the time, make sure carbs are kept lowish but you're getting plenty of fibre in, avoid sugar like the plague (I won't eat anything if it's got more than a gram of sugar in it!) and I've also been taking a multivitamin and fish oil to…
  • I mentioned to my husband that the tumble dryer didn't seem to be shrinking my clothes any more.. then realised that it probably was, but I was keeping pace with it! I've stopped snoring - which I always thought was my tonsils not my weight! My feet are narrower :-) All of my t shirts are getting longer (now they don't…
  • Ten minutes I reckon - 20 with a shower! Mind you I don't wear make-up or blow dry my hair - my face is fine as it is thanks! Brush teeth, brush hair, put on clothes, good to go :-)
  • I've found that when I track, I lose. As soon as I stop tracking it goes wrong :-) Also, I like (need) to know at the beginning of the day exactly what I'm going to eat and when so I can then not think about it and not get home with no idea what to eat, start raiding the fridge and then it all goes horribly wrong! I work…
  • Aww! Thanks guys! It is a rather flattering pic cause I've got one foot forward and I'm holding it all in and there's no-one smaller standing next to me to compare too! - but yes, I am very happy to have rediscovered a waist - and I did buy the outfit :-) Some of the comments also reminded me that people have varying…
  • The pic of you on your bike made me cry a bit :-) Now you look like the real you!
  • ROFLMAO - wow that escalated quick ;-) thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'm drinking about the right amount (I am aware of the differing arguments about how much water we actually 'need') - but on this amount I do feel better generally in myself and it does help with the whole hunger/thirst thing. I'm not sure I…
  • I shall persist and hope my bladder gets used to it then :-) In the evening I have about 2 or 3 cups of tea... I don't want to stop having them cause they help stop me from feeling hungry ;-)
  • Worst thing? ..... It will take so long! And worrying about what I'll look like at the end in terms of lumps and bumps and saggy bits :-s
  • I am terrible for coming home starving and eating before dinner is cooked :-( My tactics are: 1. Log it AND log it piece by piece, not at the end of the binge! If I eat a piece of cheese I have to enter that before I go eat a couple of slices of ham! 2. Make tea/drink water 3. GO OUT OF THE KITCHEN. I often put dinner on…
