I've been eating potatoes for potassium. Baked with no extras.

It has something to do with enzymes in your body (leptin and ghrelin) which help control hunger. Without the right amount of sleep they get out of balance and you never feel satisfied hungerwise. This article might help explain it: http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/lose-weight-while-sleeping

For Insanity, get the Polar FT4. I used it for Insanity and it worked great. My understanding is that the fitbit is just a glorified pedometer. I'm sure the fitbit has its fans but the FT4 is actually a heart rate monitor which actually helps you know if you're working to hard or to light. The calorie burn IMO is much more…

Never have. But it's very interesting to read this thread.

Insanity is the hardest workout I've ever done and it requires no equipment. I would highly recommend it.

I've done it in the past. It really toned up my arms and shoulders, but not so much my abs, that's more diet related. It's tough at the beginning (especially the push ups) but then it gets easier over time. It was a good start for me. I've moved on to P90X since then and I'm currently doing Insanity.
