I agree. I run in yoga pants and t-shirts. Nothing fancy... And they make running shoes that aren't too obnoxious. Just gotta do a little more looking, thats all.

I do really like all 3 of these guys too. Loki makes me giggles

samzies. Shes pretty awesome!

If I do, I will usually sit at the bar. Then I can almost guarantee some sort of social interaction, which is a necessity for me when going out to eat.

I walk quite a bit and i don't have tendon pain when I walk. (BF lives in Philly, so we walk a lot). It usually gets better if I stop running and stretch it, then start again... so I think it might just be tightness...

First run...

I donated the old ones when I got the new ones. Also, I have tried the inserts, and they gave me MASSIVE blisters! I think I would prefer the tendon pain vs blisters. LOL But I might just get a new pair and try those out

Also, doing some reading... the last time I got new shoes, the sales guy at the running store said I over (?) pronate so he gave me shoes that correct for that. I don't remember having this much pain with my older shoes. Maybe I should think about getting some new shoes that don't correct for it?

I think I'm going to give up elevators.

Same... I hold mine.

I am doing ChaLEAN Extreme. Its a good way to get into lifting, IMO. I had to get heavier weights, though.

Stopped reading half way through cause its just asinine. Correlation =/= Causation.

I used to do the Zumba DVDs. They were a really good starting point for me. I've never done Turbo Fire, but I am on my second round of ChaLEAN Extreme which is the same trainer, and I really like her. She can be annoying sometimes (like any other trainer on a DVD) but I think she's pretty awesome.

bump so I can find them later :)

Is it wrong that I think all of these options look amazing?

I tend to look at my weekly average. I find it hard to eat 300-500 calories less on days I don't workout, so I like to split it up.

losing log daily weigh and/or measure yourself once a week (Tomorrow morning for me, eek) and... i should probably actually take measurements.....:blushing:

I love using skinnytaste.com for most of my recipes. I have some friends who would cook all day on Sunday and then freeze a bunch of food and have enough for meals for 2-3 weeks after. They got a lot of tupperware containers and portioned them out before freezing. All you have to do is, warm it up in the microwave and…

Asparagus is awesome! You should definately give it a try. I usually toss it in some olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper then either bake it or pan fry (depening on how much time I have). YUM! As for the "it makes my pee smell funny" thing.... Thanks to web MD:

I think I lied.... his hair was longer there... womp

I ran a half marathon last year and now if I try to go for a run, I don't make it a mile before pooping out. My problem is all mental. I usually do better when I have a goal. Maybe try signing up for a race? That might add some motivation...

I agree. Confidence is attractive on every body type...

Not everyone is as shallow as you make them out to be.....

No... I am trying to lose weight.. My question in different terms: Does "stronger" muscle burn more calories at rest than a weaker muscle. Or does muscle burn the same regardless of how "strong" it is?
-
Doesn't really answer the question but thanks for the info! That's really interesting!
-
Ok so.. there is that whole "muscle burns more at rest than fat does... increased metabolism" thing. You are eating at a deficit and lifting, therefore making the muscle you already have stronger. Does that rule still apply? Or does your metabolism only increase by building new muscle? Just curious...

Thanks! I made chicken salad last week too that was ok. Couldn't add all the deliciousness that I wanted....
