  • Lol, you are right, motherhood probably plays a big role, esp lately with a toddler who gets up at 5:30am and who is boycotting naps. I don't feel invigorated by exercise, I feel even more tired. My husband doesn't get it and thinks I am weird, since exercise energizes him. I exercise, because I have to, not because I am…
  • I have never thought about this before, but you are right. The description of an endomorph matches my body type. I have tried in the past to just walk 3x a wk to lose wt. I never lost anything doing that, and could never figure out why, even when everyone told me that just walking would be adequate exercise. The only times…
  • Thanks everyone for the replies. I am 38, moms of 3 young boys, 5'4" and am currently at 160 lbs. I have always been one of those ppl who looks fatter than I really am, even at my lowest wt as a teenager of 115 lbs, ppl thought I weighed 130 lbs. I actually do a variety of exercises, but am hoping to integrate more weight…
  • Thanks for the support ladies. I haven't kept a food diary this wk and while I haven't gained, I haven't lost either. I will hop back on the wagon again this wknd charting my diet. I feel like I will have to do this my entire life. Overall though, I feel like I'm making better food choices.
  • I should join this group. I am really discouraged today and that is why I have wondered into this folder. Long story short, I just did a 6 wk wt loss challenge with my exercise class and I was pretty sure I was going to win. Well, the announced the results this morning and I lost to another women by 0.01 of a lb! Can you…
  • I love Clean Eating Magazine! This was on their October cover and I made it tonight, since I happened to have all the ingredients handy. It was fantastic, even my kids loved it! I also love how easy it was. The most time consuming part is mixing and forming the meatballs, but the actually cooking part is actually quite…
  • You look fantastic! WTG! Also, your before and after pics are so motivating to me. My first goal is to get down to 140, and seeing your current wt pic, you look wonderful!
  • You are awesome! Keep up the great work! :)
  • I'm at a point now where I feel bad/guilty if I do not exercise my normal amt. So, I just try to get it over with. Once I start it, it's not big deal, but just getting to that point sometimes is the hard part. Also, I remind myself that I can eat more liberally if I exercise.
  • This will be our 2nd summer doing a garden. Our property is very wet, so I decided to do DIY earth boxes instead. LOVE it! It is so great, everyone I know who is a traditional gardener that has come to see my garden wants to make earth boxes now. :) Last yr, I did tomatoes (large and cherry), cucumbers, zucchini, jalapeno…
  • YOu might not be losing wt, but are you losing inches? Before I started losing the wt, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me. My pants and tops were fitting more loosely, even though the scale was not really moving. Now I'm starting to lose some more wt, but it's slowed down again. Oh and 27... you are NOT old. I am…
  • My tummy. 3 kids later and I feel like even if I get to my goal wt, this stupid tummy flab will not go away, it's just get saggier.
  • I am so sorry. My parents are toxic too. My father is diabetic and basically he likes to tell my siblings and I that some day we will all be diabetic just like he is. He basically WANTS us to get diabetes, so he isn't the only one with it (and yes, it was his own fault, he was overwt and has always eaten a horrible diet),…
  • I think certain workouts aggravate your knees. I liked 30DS, except that it's been over a yr since I did it, and my knees are permanently screwed up from that experience. I just have sucky knees and all of the pylometrics (sp) did me in.
  • I was about to post the same concern. I've become really zitty in the past month, and other than working out more and trying to improve my diet, I can think of nothing else that may be causing it.
  • Actually, the BFing didn't add to the flabbiness, just having kids (whether BF or FF) makes you flabby. Just wanted to make sure ppl aren't blaming it just on BFing.
  • I think that genetics does play a role. I know women who have had TWINS, and didn't work out postpartum and their bellies are back to being flat again within months. Some ppl just seem more naturally predisposed to being thin. I don't know how to explain it, b/c I know several moms who basically bounced back and even LOST…
  • I was working out about 3x a wk and just recently boosted it up to 5-6x a wk a couple wks ago. I'm seeing the same thing that you are seeing. If I take a rest day, it makes it so much harder to get back into it again. I just try to make sure when I do exercise that I do not over-push myself and cause injury. I also do 3…
  • Thank you ladies! I added in 300 calories to my food using, "breastfeeding mom." What a neat trick! Thanks for answering my question, I have no idea how I would have figured that out on my own!
