Long-term weight loss is totally possible. I was in ketosis for a few months before reaching my goal weight and going back on carbs. Didn't gain a pound of it back. Now that I'm back in ketosis, I'm dropping weight but will allow myself a cheat day once in a while, about twice a month. My weight loss stalls but none of the…

Now bear with me here. MAYBE, just maybe, and this is entirely conjecture, but maybe he wore the jeans because he finds them comfy to work out in. OR, maybe they were just convenient, like he came directly from work. Crazy, right?

I have a whole playlist just for working out. Mostly hard rock. Some rap and club.

I use New Balance 609s and whatever socks are clean lol. Never had any trouble with blisters
-
I lost that in 3 months

Maybe try increasing the amount of fat in your diet? I lost weight pretty steadily while doing low-carb high-fat moderate-protein.

I go running on an empty stomach, but weight train after eating. But that's what seems to work best for me, not doing it because of any certain dietary benefits

why does anyone even care? when i'm at the gym, i'm focusing on myself.

I never do

Good info, thanks for posting =]

I just use Paint and paste the pictures in, fast and easy

I'm pretty adaptable. My sleep patterns get adjusted fast :D so one week I'm a night owl and the next I'm waking up before sunrise

I saw a pic of myself from a few years back and wanted to look like that again. Only about 20 lbs. or so to go

I've been doing full-body for years. I think it just boils down to preference and how much time you have for exercise
-
No but if I don't get my run in then I get stressed XD

Well, it's been working for me. I've tried doing plans, got bored of it. I do what I feel like [generally stick to the same machines and weights] but I don't limit myself, and I increase the weight and reps I do every week while losing weight. I actually look forward to the gym. Give it a try. Or don't.

Start simple and basic. Push-ups, crunches, etc. Then move onto machines and free weights. As with all exercise, form is the #1 thing when it comes to weights. Keep your back straight, your shoulder blades tucked behind your back, and as long as you aren't doing anything crazy with the weights, you should be okay.

I follow a variation of the Galloway method. I started out jogging/shuffling 5 minutes, then walking 5 minutes, and did intervals of that until I was on my feet for 30 minutes. The next week I did 6 minutes jogging, 4 minutes walking, then the following week 7 minutes, 3 minutes walking, and so on. I'm up to 23 minutes…

It's okay I guess. I just go into the gym and do whatever I want and I end up staying for a few hours, and that's been working for me performance and weight-loss wise. Do this 5-6 days a week and it's always fun. I think restricting your workout to a certain plan can make exercising boring and feel like a chore, imho. My…

Chicken... easy and quick to cook up, healthy, and is pretty filling

I've been doing keto for about 8 months now. Breakfast is usually a few scrambled eggs with a tablespoon of butter, a tablespoon of veggie oil, and 1/2 cup coconut milk, with some pieces of bacon. I'm usually not hungry again until dinner time and then it's either grilled chicken with cheese and a high-fat dressing or…

I eat when I feel like it. Doesn't matter if it's noontime or midnight; I haven't seen any differences in my performance. But, I do try to avoid heavy meals before bed if I have to wake up early for work outs.

I agree with increasing the fat and protein intake while cutting down on the carbs. That's how I broke out of being constantly hungry
-
I take a daily multivitamin, vitamin C, vitamin D, B-complex, odorless garlic, and fish oil
-
good luck with your goals! feel free to add

can anyone tell me if a keto diet would hurt running performance? i'm not running huge distances, about 3 miles per session a few times a week
-
I didn't completely cut it out but I did scale back a lot. Wasn't really that hard, I'd only have 3-4 light beers instead of the usual 8-9. Also saved me a bundle =)

cutting out soda and other sugary drinks. the only things i drink now are whole milk, coffee, and water.
