  • I'm a new ftm trying to lose the baby weight and breastfeeding. My baby is 10 weeks old. I was 135-137 pre pregnancy, I gained 35 pounds but he was 6 weeks early, so I would have gained like 40 if I went full term. Was down to 152 10 days post partum, then gained weight and have been stuck at 155/156! I am trying to jog or…
  • Make a bunch of turkey sausage (or chicken sausage) patties. they freeze well and reheat quickly in the microwave, put on an english muffin, toast etc. Can wrap in tin foil and take it with you. Toast with peanut butter. Protien shakes. Fruit/yogurt/granola.
  • The Jamboree is completely optional. There are a million other boy scout camps all scouts can go to. think of the jamboree as for "all stars" or something. Not everyone is a starter or first string. Also, while I don't think BMI is a great health indicate, keep in mind overweight starts at 25 and they are limiting kids…
  • Do you find that your body just wants to be at a certain weight? And I don't think 150 lbs at 5'8" is heavy! I don't like to use it as an excuse, but when I was younger my body always wanted to be 117/118 (I'm 5'3"). I could only weight less if starved myself or got sick. Now that I'm older, my body seems to want to be…
  • That's why they call it pr-oatmeal
  • I've been lifting for a little over three weeks, and I've lost 1/2 inch from my waist, my stomach seems flatter, and overall I feel firmer; but I feel like my upper back is getting broader. I just noticed this morning how my suit jackets feel tighter across the shoulders. I'm not really into this, I already need a size 6…
  • I hate the cardio in level 3! I always had to do something else in place of the rock star jumps, they hurt my knees.
  • How do you feel about cooked veggies? I hate spinach in a salad but love sauteed spinach, and spinch in omlets, stuffed chicken etc. I'm pretty picky about my salad lettuce, usually sticking to romane or the mid level bitterness leaves (iceberg too bland; spinach and arugala too bitter).
  • You look like you weigh a lot less than 149! Keep up the good work!
  • Order some delicious, healthy take out on thursday, like sushi or something, so you have something to look forward to. Can you do 3 intense 45-60 minute workouts a week instead shorter workouts every day? Once you're changed and get going I find it easier to do another 20 mins, rather than try to do something shorter…
  • bump. I'm 5'3, about 128 with a goal of 118-120. I have a gym membership but it's always so crowded when I go and I don't want to deal with waiting for weights. Also, there seems to be an issue in finding the weights I need (seriously why kind of guy commandeer all the 20 lb dumbbells?) So...I'm debating between les mills…
  • Switch up the work outs, the first time I tried staying on level 1 for 10 days etc. and it was terrible. Now I mix them up and I like it so much better, and plus you get to work slightly different muscles each time.
  • I'm an attorney who works a ton, I don't think roasted veggies are that great after a day or so (or maybe if you freeze them?) but I'll cut up a bunch of raw veggies for crudite (and buy the carrot chips). The crock pot has been a lifesaver, I freeze individual portions from whatever I make. also, eggs/omlettes are a quick…
  • You look great! Your tummy looks so flat!
  • Fried Rice with lots of veggies and eggs.
  • Today I had leftover salmon and cut up veggies with light ranch. Have cottage cheese for later. Whole wheat pita chips and hummus, not the healthiest but very filling to me. I ususally just switch it up every week, but it varies between turkey sandwhiches, salads (usually with feta and chicken), leftovers, or tapas style…
  • I love knowing after the second strength I'm halfway done! The second half always seems to go quicker!
  • I recommend not doing 10 days straight of each workout. I would do workout 1 a few times, 2 a few times, then 3 a few times, and then alternate each workout. I just use heavier weights for workout one, or do it on days i'm a little tired since the cardio isn't as intense. I tried to do it the way you're supposed to do and…
  • I started with a 10 lb one and then got a 15 lb one (not sure of the kilogram conversion). My 15 lb one is grey and purple!
  • I modify some of the jumps in workout 3, the rock star and jumping lunge or something, too much on the knees. I usually do one of her other cardio exercises.
  • Try every other day, or 4-5 days a week, and alternate workouts, don't do 10 days of workout 1, 10 days of workout 2 etc. It gets too boring! I alternate the 30 DS and Ripped in 30 workouts with running, classes at the gym, and occasional weight workouts.
  • Thanks for posting, I'm curious as well. I'll like to lose 5 pounds and would love to lose 10, and my TDEE-20% is below my BMR, so I guess I can really just focus on composition at this point and hit the weights more? I've upped my intake to 1400 (TDEE 1670ish, BMR 1370ish) and it's been working; sometimes I go over but I…
  • I'm having wine and going over! figure i'm still under TDEE, plus I logged a glass of wine yesterday (was under calories) and never drank it, so it'll even out!
  • I used to envision applebees boneless buffalo wings when I was on the treadmill
  • I keep mine at sedentary (since I have a desk job) and then add exercise calories. Some weeks I work out twice, some weeks 5 times, so I don't want to change the activity level to average out the calories over the week.
  • Subtract the grams of fiber from the grams of carbs to get the true count.
  • I found eating before I got famished helped with sugar/white starch cravings. I used think I was following the "eat when you're hungry" doctrine, but I was waiting way too long and then only wanted something my body could process fast.
  • Hi everyone, I've been an on/off corporette reader for about a year and a half, I post occasionally under various names. I came across corporette towards the end of law school when googling interview advice. Fairly easily maintained a happy weight in college and law school (had occasional semester or so where I was a few…
  • I have not been able to exercise consistently since graduating law school. I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred for a while. Telling myself they're only 24ish minutes helped. Sometimes I can get in a good gym routine for a month, and then hell breaks out at work. At least when work is crazy I eat less! I just have no…
  • I don't track water, I barely have time to track food, and most days I'm pretty good with drinking 6-8 glasses, but sometimes at work if i'm drinking more tea/coffee than usual I drink less than my normal amount of water. I also don't log vegetables, even seeing the minimal calories they have would discourage me from…
