I saw a skinny woman walking down the street as I was driving into work wearing a sleeveless summer dress with bare legs and sandals. She looked so cool and comfortable and here I am in pants, compression socks and short sleeves because I hate my saggy arm skin.. GGRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I feel you.. I have to have low sodium and any eating out is full of the stuff. I had to bite my lip in Weight Watchers last night too when Pat was on about the smoothies again.. they have sodium in, I can't eat them.. ditto all their little snack thingies. It truly sucks. So I guess low sodium the rest of the time and…

Oh yeah.. and while I am on it all those well meaning people who think they have all the ideas on how to lose weight.. have you tried Weight Watchers? Jenny Craig? I have that Atkins book if you want it? And you feel obliged to say yes because otherwise it looks like you don't want to try. Bars and shakes so you can lose…

Yep tishtash that sucks. The sheer ongoing effort gets me. The having to track and measure and weigh every single thing, to have to consistently say no to those things others seem to be able to eat without any consequences at all. ALL of it! My life has been full of this **** since I was 6 years old and I am SO tired of it!

WELL DONE!!!! I have had the food dreams too... dreams of tables laden with every type of yummy cake imaginable!

You are not horrible. I think it is as hard for us to relate to someone who only has 10-20lbs to lose. Yes I have learned to be politically correct and sympathize but I honestly can't relate and just want to shake them and say FFS! LOL At the same time I am sure they really can't relate to us at all and if they could stop…

WOOHOOOO... on all of it. On no SuzyQ you are def not the only one.. everyone here has similar struggles, what I call what we have accepted as the norm of being obese. We will celebrate along the way to our new healthy weights.

I lost.. after the craziness of Memorial Day weekend and the Gyro.. I lost. Only .4 of a lb but it doesn't matter to me.. it is going down and that is all I care about.

I could see you pacing RatPat.. I was rooting for you! tishtash and kaliya.. remember my mantra.. well okay it isn't a mantra but it's fast becoming one.. NO GUILT.. no beating yourself up. Now that doesn't mean you don't sit down and track, I am with Karen that it actually is helpful to try to track when you go over then…

I have to be honest here, I don't love any body part at all. I am grateful I can walk, I am grateful I can see and hear and I have use of my arms and I can do everything on my own and I am grateful I don't have something worse than I have healthwise. Love any body part, no. But I do love my wisdom and my sense of humor.

I love my DOGS and CATS! There ya go Karen.. I know that wasn't what you were expecting LOL. Guys.. drum roll and big celebration this morning, we just hit 150 members!!!!! To everyone joining us HELLOOOO!!!! We are really helping each other here and I hope that we can help you too. Please jump in, intro yourself, join in…

Hi Jodi! Welcome to the group.. daunting is right, but somehow it becomes easier when you are surrounded by people who feel the same way you do. Welcome! Jump in.

I think tracking it all is a really good thing to do unless you can't! LOL. At the Graduation Party I ate way too much of two different cakes.. I couldn't log that if I tried because there were no set portions and one was home made. Call me picky but to track I have to have it exact. When that kind of thing happens I just…

That's our strength here momofthree, we are not alone, our whole group is in the same category and fully understands each other.. it's very powerful.

I had the all or nothing mentality. I think what has helped with that is the no guilt thing I am so hot on. I don't know what it is that works so well for me with this, but before I would have eaten the donuts, fudge and the bagels and cream cheese and said.. oh well.. back to the diet tomorrow. The fact I am not doing…

Honestly this is what I find the most exciting here. It is the number of us who are having bad days but getting right back up and getting on with it again. I have spent so long in that place where you start with great determination, then hit a holiday day or a moment or whatever.. and that moment turns into days, weeks,…

I am making this a Sticky because I think it will be a great place to celebrate those successes we have every single day. I have a few today. I come into work and there is bagels, cream cheese, donuts, and home made fudge that I happen to know is really good. I am invited to help myself. I bought humus with me but no…

When I say.. I am heavier than my body can handle that really is what I mean and what you show debunny. We are all individuals with our own limitations. Maybe there are people who weigh 400lbs who can move better or further than I can. Maybe there are those who weigh 250 who feel like I do right now. It might be due to…

I am sorry I only just saw this. Right now forget the diet part, you can pick that up when things get less stressful and you have more time to plan and think. Right now focusing on your baby is all that matters. Please keep us updated regularly. Huggs to you.

I would have to agree with RatPat and I am sorry I didn't reply sooner, I missed this Melissa. When I was so low because everything hurt so bad last week my husband and my WW leader said maybe I should do a little and leave a day in between to recover. That seems so ridiculous, I mean, 10 minutes walk and take a day off?…

All of you BRAVO! RatPat, that is a stunning combination of things you have overcome. I think for me just going out and walking on the city streets especially passing a restaurant was a big one for me last week. Last summer I hid away in my lunchroom all summer long.

Really late checking in today.. food wise going very well. Have to stop by on the way home and feed wild birdies for a friend. Having a lamb burger for dinner YUM and probably trying to cook Chard for the first time. Hello and welcome to any newbies here.. we love you. I approve of myself.. umm.. might have to try that a…

Nope not at all! None of us are there yet.

Yep quiet day today.. but a lot of family is gathering, I know in the Midwest after such a long winter people are out and grilling and partying.. judging by our neighborhood last night. Of course.. me and the hubby are getting old and our staying up late was until almost 10!!!!! LOL I decided as soon as I can retire, which…

People make Kale Chips, the first ones I tried were pretty good but then I tried making them and they were really bitter YUCK.

First bicycle ride today, I don't think I have ridden in a couple of years. I set myself three blocks and three blocks it was. Got home hot, sweaty and legs like rubber.. RAGBRAI here I come! Ribs for dinner!

Karen this is an awesome read. I start in the produce aisle and fill my cart full of vegetables and fruit. I am just beginning to start experimenting with foods I am not familiar with. I figure if I try and use just one a week we will have a broader range of fruits and vegetables on the menu. This week it is rainbow chard…
