  • Here. I am sorry I have not been here, we have had major family problems and those have been taking all of my attention. I will make sure I check in at least once a day.
  • Pat I am so sorry you lost your Grandmother. Be kind to yourself, you coped really admirably with everything that was happening around you, spring is coming, every day it gets closer.
  • Don't even worry about the big goal. I spent so much of my time stressing about the per week loss I completely lost sight of the bigger goal. Now I don't even think about what I am losing per week I look at how much I have lost.. and as of this morning it is 36lbs. Changing my viewpoint has made such a difference.
  • I think posting what you feel is very important whether it is negative or positive. I know those feelings so well.. three times I have spoken on the phone to loved ones in England knowing it is the last time I will ever talk to them.. it's heartbreaking. Pat what a treasure for you to keep, I am so sorry for your loss.
  • Pat that's fantastic!!!! I am so incredibly happy for you.. you truly deserve it and I know you are going to make it to goal.. you ROCK.
  • I agree with you on the resolution front Carly. I don't make resolutions, it always seems to me that resolutions are made to be broken. I set goals, but once a year is no good for setting goals as that is an ongoing thing. I have no set goals for my weight loss, I just aim to move more and eat right, that's it. I have a…
  • Fantastic!
  • The holiday was awesome for me. I got my house well and truly in order and clean! I decluttered and donated. Got some pretty new jewelry boxes and an early Christmas present a Fitbit!! Well rested and well organized. This was the first holiday EVER where I felt like a normal human being. I had a lovely dinner AND pie but I…
  • Cari.. all I can say to you is keep our eye on the prize. The prize is WLS which for me has been amazing. Only 25lbs so far but not in active weight loss phase yet and so much is better for me. You can do this.. eye on the prize everytime you want to over indulge.. eye on the prize Cari.
  • Knitormiss please don't be scared of the prolapse surgery, get it done. Best thing I ever did. I had a hysterectomy, bladder sling, and several prolapses repaired that left me free from pain for the first time in years.
  • Well I have to tell you we have dropped our YMCA membership. My husband has no time to go and work out and the only thing I can do right now is swim.. being that the Midwest is freezing I just can't see myself doing that over the winter.
  • WTG Pat!!!! I had been reading a book on tidying by Marie Kondo and started following her methods to declutter the house. First go clothes, then books, then makeup etc and then paperwork followed by items and then sentimental stuff. I donated SIX garbage bags of clothes to Salvation Army and generated a fair bit of garbage…
  • Just be careful of weighing yourself every day and taking note of it, weight really does fluctuate from one day to the next, once a week is more accurate.
  • Oh it does. I have been judged many a time. One of the most memorable was when I went to a specialist Gynacologist in the UK, he had been told I had a traumatic birth of a 12lb baby but he hurt me. Almost worse was him kneading my big tummy like it was dough and saying.. look at all this, what is this?? I told him I had…
  • Hey lady.. I never got a message but go right ahead! I like it.. the more new stuff we do the better. Change it up a bit.
  • Fantastic!!! WTG
  • But someone will have to help me out because I can't see how to do it!
  • I don't have a problem with making this a closed group at all. We can always open it a short while now and again. I will say if you like the group please invite people!!!! 22lbs lost guys. :)
  • Funny how habits change and this is proof that they can. My post surgery diet has been purely protein and vegetables. I had one Halloween candy and felt sick, so there is still a big bag sitting in the cupboard, that's never happened before. I am getting bored with what I have been eating and need to change it up, so going…
  • I am not supposed to ever have snacks now I have the band. Three meals and that's it. However, I am sure occasionally I will. I love Jack Links Teriyaki Steak, the bites, they are yummy and full of protein.
  • Those witches fingers were the first thing I saw.. nearly gave me a heart attack.
  • Way to go Pat.. I would really love to see what you look like but I know you are shy! I am getting mine cut tomorrow and my plan now is to have it cut consistently. I think one of the symptoms of being unhappy with my weight has been lack of consistent self care and regular cuts is one of those. I was seething earlier, I…
  • I go back November 4 and as is always the case when you have time off and are enjoying it.. I wish I could have just one more day LOL
  • So proud of you! Ziplining is one thing I want to do, so I am sad to hear it's an overrated experience, but WTG that you overcame all your doubts and fears and you did it!
  • Pat you are a SUPERSTAR. Congratulations on your ride, you must be so proud of yourself.
  • If you want a protein shake DO try the Atkins ones. Delicious, especially the coffee flavors.
  • I have lost a cat.. that's not bad. LOL
  • I got a piece of advice from my friend who had gastric bypass years ago. Her surgeon said if she was going to eat chocolate then go for a small amount of the most luxurious chocolate she could afford. Not from a supermarket.. something more specialist. I love the thought behind it and I feel it would be very effective for…
  • This is fantastic!!! Great job! I am thrilled for you.
