  • Childhood obesity is being spotlighted as well with Michelle Obama joining the fight against it.
  • CNN did a report last night about changing school lunches because kids are getting too fat to fight and join in the armed services when they grow up.
  • 3. Buy clothes that fit you now. Don't wait until you are thinner. New clothes will make you feel good about yourself and encourage you to continue doing well. 4. Go for a walk, call a friend, distract yourself. Have an action plan in place so that you don't eat out of boredom or emotions - stay busy.
  • Jesus - I don't think I really need a reason for that one because it's probably pretty obvious, lol. Madeleine L'engle - she is my all time favorite author and incredibly interesting. I can only imagine the conversations we would have. I'd like to discuss philosophy with her.
  • I love peanut butter and a banana after a workout. It feels like a reward, and the protein is good for you.
  • Of course it's because of bloating, lol. :) You are being good and time of the month is just plain freaking evil! Keep on keeping on and weight when you are off the rag and it should be better! Don't get discouraged, this time of month, it's to be expected for your body to screw with you. Hang in there!

  • Prepare for pain. I just joined a league a few weeks ago and hadn't played since high school. I was so sore afterwards, but it was a lot of fun!
  • Congrats on your success! What an accomplishment!

  • Maybe try something to get you excited again. This week I went out and bought some new workout clothes and I burnt a crap load of calories at the gym today because I was excited to wear them. I also bought myself new headphones that are better for cardio workouts instead of ones that slip out of my ears. You could try…
  • Planning. I try to budget my calories the day before so that I have a plan for the day. It helps me keep focused and since I know when I am going to eat and what it's going to be it's a lot easier to stick to the plan. Also, focus and a little obsession. :)
  • Maybe try GasX or Beano to help with the gas.
  • Just type them into your signature like you did for Naomiiiiii. It should work for you.
  • It's yummy on bananas too!
  • I've always loved Avocados, but now I finally have some good reasons other than just saying they taste good! Thanks for the info!
  • I would definitely say yes! Keep up the good work!
  • I've given up on fads and diets and believe in just maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Put in the work to do it right with proper nutrition and exercise and you'll see results.
  • For me, it takes a combination of eating right and exercise. I tend to lose a lot quicker and more consistently when I work out. Losing weight is a benefit of being healthy and I want that lifestyle.
  • When I know I'm going to be drinking I try to guestimate how much and what I will be drinking so that I can build it into my calories. I've been drinking 55 calorie Bud Light or rum & diet coke's and staying away from mixed drinks that are super yummy. If you know you eat when you drink, plan that as well. Also, if you…
  • I know mine gives me extra carbs, fiber and proteins...
  • You look amazing. Thank you for being an inspiration!
  • You will do it! It sounds like you are on the right track to a healthier life. Just remember it only takes one step at a time to get to your destination. Sneak in steps wherever you can!
  • Beautiful!
  • Take things one step or day at a time. It can be overwhelming when looking at the big picture, but if you start taking steps in the right direction - you WILL get to your destination. It's ok to have times when you eat bad or just lose control, but don't make it a pattern. One bad day doesn't mean you have to have five bad…
  • Peanut Butter!
  • I would definitely check your sodium intake. When I started watching that, my weight decreased significantly. It could also be the types of food you are eating - if you are still eating fries, fried foods and that kind of food then you are probably retaining water with all of the sodium. I would look at eating some…
  • Try eating more than 1200 calories. With working out your body needs fuel - it may help you lose.
  • Change your start weight and then do another weigh in. Welcome!
  • Some kind of whole wheat/grain muffins would be good.
  • I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a D&C on January 20th and I didn't start working out till around mid February. My body and mind needed some time to heal and deal with the loss. Since March I've been at it hard working out around 5 times a week. Definitely give your body some time to heal. If you need to talk or want a…
