Congratulations! I think those first milestones really help you to keep going. My 1st goal was 10lbs..then a big one for me was getting the baby weight off. I want to keep going more than ever now, cause I know now that I can really do this. Best of wishes for u too. Just keep at it.

Awesome!! great dedication!! Very inspirational! Can I ask what it was that made it hard towards the end?
-
Amazing!! Really great dedication! Very inspirational to see your success. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, your transformation is really inspiring! You look awesome! I'm down 20lbs and feel like I have a good handle on the calorie counting. And sorry if you covered this already but I didn't read through the 33 pages. So I still have probably 60-70lbs more to go and all of it is in my stomach. I really never had the desire…

The Daniel Fast is a fast that Daniel did in the Bible. My entire church is doing this fast in conjunction with 21 days of prayer. I was only asking for others to share their experiences while doing this. I am really kind of wishing I hadn't said anything about it at all.
-
danniinw and Laurend224, thanks for your "experiences"
-
ok I left the s off experience. I was wanting anyone who has done the fast to share their experiences. Like did you find it hard to met your calorie goal eating only fruit, veggies and beans? Just in general how people who had done it found it compared to regular low calorie.
-
haha it def would be if I still drank.

Alright, I think I've got it. I appreciate all you guys responding. I will just have to motivate myself to exercise by picturing myself thin with flappy loose skin. haha.
-
ok so basically exercise has no added benefit to weight loss. I know y'all are gonna say I'm wrong or stupid but I was hoping there was some benefit to weight loss that I could hang on to push me to exercise extra days or maybe on days when I don't feel like it. Oh well.
-
Yeah, I see your point. But why workout 5 days a week rather than only 3?
-
Hey I really appreciate all of your responses. This really helps, cause I was starting to get pretty confused by it all. I did go ahead and change the one slot from sugars to fiber. It's still gonna be kinda hard for me to see red digits haha...it's like cracking the knuckles on one hand and not on the other, it just irks…

My opinion is to be as honest as you can and not sweat it. Now I will say I have only been one here for like 8 days, but I did lose 10lbs the honest way in my first week. I truly do the best I can to enter the calculations in. If it says half cup chopped, I may change it to .25 chopped. If it says 3oz. I go by my visual of…
-
Duh. ok I changed it to public. Also I managed to find something to eat that came in under in all categories. lol. funny how that works.
-
Sure let me figure out how to do that.
-
ok what do you do if you still need 2-300calories and anything you can find puts some other category over. Which one would you rather go over on first ie..fat, protein, carb, sugar?
-
Well shoot then, I guess I betta go get me a snack! haha
-
Yeah I realized after reading another post that when it says moderate deficit that is included in the 2lbs a week. Crazy how your mind just doesn't want to accept it, it just has to believe that cutting more works. I'm not gonna lie, it is going to be difficult for me to be patient and wait to see the results.
-
Dang that article was kinda harsh...I can't help that I am tightly wound. lol. But I guess I do need to just chill the hell out. But after reading to the end it seems that I am doing the right thing by doing moderate calorie deficit and moderate activity, right? I mean a 200 calorie deficit and 20-50min a day of moderate…
-
I am still reading the article and I also read some other posts on this topic so I'm seeing what your all getting at but I do want to clarify that what I am talking about is not BIG caloric deficits or LARGE amounts of activity.
-
Hmmm
-
Totally get what your saying, However the maximum weight loss you can put in is 2lbs a week and I would really like to do a little more than that. And what the heck is a 250 calorie snack gonna do for me after cutting back so much junk already? Just sayin'

Hi Meg, I'm in a similar place. This site seems pretty easy. I started an account today but also added what all I ate yesterday. Hopefully we can encourage each other and find new ideas to help meet our goals. Candys:happy:
