I totally do not agree with this - it DOES get easier - and sooner than you think - just keep on doing it, and slowly it will be easier to walk a little bit further - or a little bit faster.... I could not walk a mile when I started - now 4 miles is a little "warm up" - it does not even get my heart rate up....

YUSSS!!! Give this man some bacon.....
-
You know what - those looks you are getting - they mostly say "good on you girl - I only hope you are one of the ones that stick around and see it through!!" - I was the super obese girl a little bit over 2 years ago...... and the same thing - I was the only fat person in there!! Today I have some wonderful friends at that…

No - too many calories will cause a weight gain - not being over on protein by itself (or any other macro)
-
Open diary - make sure to read food AND exercise!!
-
I have never - once - had any of my friends say anything bad about my diary - even when I have gone over ..... pick your friends wisely and they will give you sage advice when you ask - kick your behind if you ask them to - and give you a break if you screw up once in a while...... having said that I am pretty serious…

I would personally go lower carb - but not necessarily lower fat - "fat free" is one of the biggest swear words in my book - and there is no way I would buy a product with "fat free" on the label..... I used to get sucked into that fallacy - never again!! Also notice the "lower carb" - I dont believe low carb is all that…

Sorry have not read everyone elses comments - basically just tell her you are happy to listen, and spend time with her - WHILE YOU ARE WAKING......there is no better way to get rid of stress and clear the head than while walking, so you two girls can go for a long walk - and talk at the same time ;-) If that does not work…

I buy cherry tomatoes - gorgeous and sweet - and one bite at a time ;-)

Still waiting for my combat DVD's to arrive :-) There is a Combat Challenge group on here - they might be able to answer your questions - personally I did not order the gloves, as it needs to be shipped to New Zealand. From some discussions I saw it seemed you can get the same results with wrist weights....

^^^^ THIS - I dislocated my shoulder in 1999 - and never got proper professional help - I now have major shoulder issues - and it seems it all stems from that injury (dead bone, floating bits etc)..... Both my physical therapist and surgeon just keeps on saying "this should have been identified, addressed / treated at the…

110lbs ago - yes - if I have a bad day I just need to look at this photo to know where I am never going to go back to ;-) I like having a neck, and not just double chins ;-)

LOL - so true - I cringe every time I read that ..... Average Natural WOMAN: between 0.12 – 0.25 pounds of muscle per week (or about 0.5-1 pound of muscle gained per month) - and that is if you eat 250 to 500 calories above your TDEE, and train your butt off lifting HEAVY....…

When I first started the hardest thing was making sure you weigh / measure EVERYTHING - make sure you understand portion sizes.....to this day I still read labels - some of the information on portion sizes are very confusing. A good kitchen scale and measuring cups, spoons etc is critical. One example - a guy at my work…

Personally I think if you can do 50 swings with 8kg's you should be able to swing a 12kg kettlebell - don't swing it higher than your shoulders - the action should be in your legs and butt - not in your arms.... If I remember correctly you are in New Zealand - go to Rebel sport - they have a big range of KB's and try them…

Yep - bought some at Coles in Sydney when I was there in December....
-
Yes you can - when I first started I was doing Jenny Craig food - total salt bombs!! The way it was explained to me - taste comes from 3 things - salt, sugar and fat - so JC cut out the fat and sugar - and viola - salt!! I still lost 30kg's (around 70lbs) eating their food - and once I came on MFP and started logging I was…

Shows what can be done when one puts their mind to it - and make the effort!! You look fantastic!!
-
^^^^ First paragraph - jut plain WRONG!!! You can listen to someone with 0 lost - or people like Ed and myself that has "been there - done that" Second paragraph - agree with the exercise to get healthier bit here..... I always say I eat right to lose the weight - and I exercise to be healthy....BUT - that should not stop…
-
Yep - 110lbs lost - and would eat at least 50% of my exercise cals back - every time!!

YEP - love my coffee - I was reasonably lucky - never had sugar in it before - so I just had to learn to cut the milk.... I still have one "flat white" - coffee with milk, but then have another one or two "long blacks" - straight black coffee (what you in the US call an americano)... It took me around 2 years to really get…

LOL - I wore a pair of tights to work the other day - and walking to work I realised I was in BIG trouble - they kept slipping down - just about to my knees - I had to stop every 90 seconds and jack them up again!! If I had not done that they would have ended in a puddle around my ankles.... By lunch time I walked to Smith…

I managed to tear my meniscus just before xmas 2011 - and long story short - had a total knee replacement done in august 2012. Not sure what type of injury you have, but I managed to train right through it all - crutches and all!! Stationary bike, upper body - lots of upper body, boxing (as long as you are stationary and…

TRAVESTY!! In all seriousness - most of the time mine does not have banana - just made one 5 minutes ago - frozen blueberries, cup of spinach leaves, quarter cup coconut milk and protein powder (banana flavour ;-) ) - with water ..... total scrumminess!!
-
Pretty simple really - listen to your body - right know it tells you - I don't like the way you do squats!! Your physical therapist is right - don't go below parallel - or as my physical therapist calls them " potty squats" I have had a knee replacement in August, so really needed o do things different ....... Soooo my…
-
Yep - you got it in one.... Now having said that I normally only eat back about 75% of my exercise calories - especially if I did not wear my HRM as MFP numbers are a bit high in my experience..
