I actually started running this weekend, out of my 5k walk I ran 1/4 of it! Aim to run at least half of it by end of July. I just don't want to injure myself. So far so good.

I am going to be 56 next month. I was just saying on the weekend even if I do lose the last 10-15 lbs. will I be happy with my body. I have to realize that I will never have the figure of my youth. I have come along way in the last year and I guess it shouldn't just be about looks but about my health.

I spend way too much time getting ready for work, I have to try on multiple outfits still thinking the XL'S might look good - not so much - I have a harder time buying clothes as well it is a wider range depending on the style. Still don't like fitting room mirrors so trips back to return are the norm!

A friend came over this week and said I looked much younger. Bough 8lb weights to start lifting in my routine.
-
Size 8 skinny jeans - from a size 16, medium top- from an XL, small sweater- from an XL, and size 8 sandal - from a 9!

On Saturday at the mall a sales person I havn't seen for a while said you look great. Nice to hear from a younger person. And my daughter and I both wanted the same skirt. I won of course!
-
It has been a slow go since Christmas but have been cutting back again and am able to get back outside for my cardio. At least I know where to be to maintain!
-
I was able to get the thigh high boots, next will be a new bathing suit this summer!
-
A small hill that I added to my walk last year I could only do about 6-8 times. Today I ran up it 15 of the 20 times, did not feel winded only sweaty!
-
Stay with it, my daughter says I look younger than I did in a picture from 12 years ago!
-
I started in 16's some 18's pants and XL - 1X tops, now 6-8 pants (one size 4!) and Med. tops
-
I was wearing 16-18's when I started, yesterday bought a size 4 and they fit. Counting calories and exercise at least 30 min. everyday!
-
Very inspirational story, thanks for sharing!

Just bought a size 4 boyfriend jean (they do fit a bit looser than a regular fit) but still size 4!!!!!!!!!!!! All my belts are down another notch. No more notches.
-
Added 3 extra walks per week into my schedule. 3 lbs until goal of 45 need it gone by Easter which is my 1 year. The push is on!
-
Even tops I thought would be fine to wear when I went through my clothes look too big! My daughter said it looked like pajamas. Going shopping this week at J Crew outlet couldn't even fit into their XL's. Who knows maybe mediums!
-
I'm wearing a size 6 skinny jean today! I did not ever expect to see this size again.
-
Medium dress could be a small!
-
I had a donut on Friday and the taste of lard is very distinct. Not sure why I thought it was a treat.
-
New jeans for me as well start size 16-18 new jeans size 6!
-
I reached my healthy waist to height measurement, this is a big one for me!
-
Definitely wearing belts and seeing them go down inch by inch. Also my tailbone kills from sitting for too long, one way to get up & moving! I still find it hard to believe that I have a waist and not just a large mass larger than my breasts.

You should be very proud your hard works shows!

Make today Day one of logging in MFP and you will be on the right track. Stay within your calories and you will see results. It's not easy but it's worth it!

I am 55 years old and joined MFP after Easter last year. I lost 40 lbs. up until Christmas Day. I did put on 2 lbs over Christmas and my goal is to lose another 10 - 15lbs. by Easter of this year. I would like to get to a healthy waist to height ratio about 1 1/2" inches to go. I have lost approx. 18" from my bust/waist…
-
I was able to cook the Christmas dinner without my feet and legs killing me from being on them all day! I have not had to take antacids (tums) in months!
-
#1 To keep on with this lifestyle change and lose the remaining 10 - 15 lbs #2 To wear a two piece bathing suit this summer #3 To be happy!

I bought a sweater yesterday I wanted to wear it with leggings/skinny jeans so I thought the extra large would be fine. My daughter said no way it's huge, more like a medium
